The whole procedure usually takes about 2 to 3 hours. It can be done in a hospital or an outpatient center. If everything goes well and the surgery is completed using “microsurgical” techniques, you may be able to go home around 2 to 4 hours after surgery. However, some women will need to stay in the hospital for 1 to 3 days.
