Ovarian Transposition Surgery in Bucharova

The surgery is carried out prior to the radiation therapy and you will be given general anesthetic. The surgery is usually performed using a laparoscopic method. During the surgery, the fallopian tubes and one or both ovaries are separated from the uterus and then attached to the abdomen wall, away from the site of radiation therapy.

Some patients can go home on the day of the surgery; others will need to stay overnight.
