I visited Dr. Tabash in November and he did an amazing job! I had 9-10-11-2 removed, bone graft, gum graft, and implants installed on 9-10-11. I had to wait for number 2 because there was heavy bone loss. Dr. Tabash was able to do all procedures quickly with very minimal pain. Almost could not tell what stage in the procedure he was in and before I knew it, he was done. I had a minor issue, but he was on call and took me in right away. It has been 7 months now, and with the recent coronavirus I was forced to go to a local dentistry. They applauded the job that Dr. Tabash did and was able to continue the work locally. Dr. Tabash used standard implants, so my local dentist had no issue ordering the abutment. The bone graft and the gum graft are perfect, and I did not have to undergo that procedure again.I wish I could continue the procedure with Dr. Tabash because he has saved me a lot of money. Maybe in the future! Thanks again

I just thought it might help others if I posted my experience with Dr. Obando and Nova Dental in Escazu, Costa Rica. I selected Dr. Obando after extensively researching implant dentists. I found Dr. Obando's credentials and testimonies to be exceptional. In 2017, I had a full upper arch implanted and can only say that the procedure was a life changing event. The implants improved the quality of my life and are more comfortable than what my original teeth were before the procedure. I highly recommend Dr. Obando not only for his skills and professional manner but for also being an all around good guy that would be hard not to like.

Dentist in the states made me skeptical about going to Costa Rica to get major dental work but the doctors and staff at nova dental clinic were the best in there field as far as skill and technique with a office and equipment that were top notch compared to some of the dentist I have been to in the past. They had a great team of dental assistance that were super friendly and helpful. Doctor chavarria was excellent with the cosmetics and crowns that he did and helped me through the whole process. Doctor truque the endodontist was very assuring with the root canals and post procedure as well as X-rays and structure and doctor obando made difficult surgical extractions a breeze and very surprised with the whole process on time and pain they made it a overall great experience. I am definitely going back in the future and highly recommend it to anyone looking for major work of any size

I had four teeth removed here on Thanksgiving Day that were the result of iatrogenic injury in the states. Pros: Swiss protocols are great! I would not do further work without them which include peizosurgery, ozone, PRF, and vitamin C IVs during surgery. The clinic is modern, spacious, and, near the airport. Dr. Fernandez was my oral surgeon and he is refined, serious, and skilled. When I lost the blood clot from one site, he injected PRF into it which really helped! Dr. Mora is very warm hearted, and Carla the nurse is a gem! Diana the coordinator is very sweet too but gives conflicting communication at times- not her fault though as she relays things from the doctors. Cons:~ Immediate implants were recommended after extraction which are ideal. However, because I was aware of the overfilling of gutta percha in three sites into the bone and sinus, I wanted to be sure it was all out before implants were placed. Very glad I opted to wait as material remained after the first surgery necessitating the need for a second very invasive surgery a week later. Thus, the first surgery was not as thorough as it could have been. However, I am grateful a second surgery was done and it was dealt with. However, I received no post op care for this second surgery and it is still funny/ tight/ tingling. ~Ozone use was very light during the first surgery. I would have liked more concentrated use of ozone.~I needed care for an unimpacted wisdom tooth with a good sized cavity and it was neglected

Returned recently from my surgery and work at Dental Cosmetics in Alajuela, San Jose and loved my experience. Even before I arrived, Diana and staff helped me with all the information I needed over WhatsApp and clearly explained my case. Location was easy to get to when I arrived, simple check in process, and Dr. Fernandez was very thorough about my surgery, overview of teeth, and hospitality. Richard KrugI had Mario pull my last four upper teeth. Then, on that very same day, he inserted four implants attached to a bridge! Shortly after, the pain started increasing. When I went and spoke to him about his procedure, he said he would need to take them all out. They were all infected! He cemented them onto a bridge. Check out his other happy clients below! >>> Rebuttal to Dr. Mario, I told him repeatedly that I stopped smoking over 15 years ago after I watched my father die of lung cancer, second I was screaming at him not his assistant who attached NEW implants to a bridge. According to 6 dentist a have talked to so far they all agree that he was wrong in what he did to me. But just to confirm my opinion of this butcher look at the reviews below. They all tell the truth about this guy.

I am amazed to see people going to this dentist. I spent thousands of dollars to have implants and I have learned that is was the worst dental work that could be done. They really do not care about Americans and with a smile...they do the worst job that you could imagine! How about having to pay to go back (hotel include with air fair) to correct shotty work three times...HORRIBLE dental work done by this office. The dental assistants just through some cement in my mouth and the Dr. said, "Your tongue will SMOOTH the cement after time!!!" He should lose his license because he is sub-standard. I have spoken to two other of his patients and they are both having problems with the dental work!!! BEWARE do not go to this clinic!

On a referral from a friend, I went to have an evaluation done with Dr. Bonilla. Really was a great decision and I am very happy with the work done. Very professional bi-lingual staff, state-of-the-art equipment and very competitive prices. They did in less than 2 weeks what would have taken 2 months in the USA and at a much lower cost. But don't let the great prices fool you. The work I had done and was top quality and I now have a smile that I am not afraid to show off!

I came here for small crack in my lower # 2 molar. They charged me $100 for a repair and $80 for two X-rays. Maybe they took advantage of me. I don’t know. Everyone says dental work is cheap in CR. I didn’t want to bargain with them; because I really don’t want someone working on my mouth with that in mind. Anyhow the work was good, the office clean and people professional. They wanted to charge me $100 for a cleaning but I declined.Caro, muy Caro.

My patient experience at DaVinci's Dental Care was exceptional. The technology, including whole mouth tomography (basically a CAT scan) and 3D impressions, involved stuff I'd never seen before. Dr. Soto's 'chair-side' manner is relaxed and, yet, all business. Also, I had a session with their Peridontist which was terrific. The communication from Lori, their International Patient Laision, was A+. I couldn't recommend DaVinci's more highly.

These guys are absolute rock stars!!! I have had a whole mouth restoration done and could not be happier with the results. Dr. Soto is the best and most caring dentist I have ever been with. The office is the best I have ever seen. They actually have their own 3D scanner for the x-rays. Lori is their dedicated North American liaison and does an excellent job of keeping everything sorted for you. She even picks you up at the airport when you arrive. I want to thank them for all they have done for me and I will drop in to say hello any time I'm in San Jose. I highly recommend DaVinci's.

My wife and I just finished having 5 crowns and 4 fillings done between us. This has been my 4th visit for dental work, and my wife’s second. We have nothing but praise for Geovanna, Francisco and Dr Cesar. My first visit several years ago involved 2 implants, which required 2 visits over 3 months. They strongly discourage putting the crowns on too soon. The posts needed to be assimilated by the jaw bone. One tooth required a root canal. I had very little pain, and none with any of the subsequent procedures performed by Dr Cesar.I am a Medical Doctor, and have had no concerns about sterile technique. This clinic does excellent work, and will work within a patient’s scheduled visit in country. However, if you require an upscale office with all the bells and whistles, look elsewhere—but you’ll find it at five times the price of this clinic. Bottom line: their work is excellent and reasonable!

they damage a nerve during implant ,so my gum is numb for good they are not qualify for implant, in Costa Rica no need for implant license, their equipment is prehistoric, it is not a clinic it is a house converted to a slaughter house, I had to remove all the implant they did, the Dentist in the states they did not believe my implant was done by a professional but no way to sue those butchers because their is no law in Costa Rica STAY AWAYYYYYYYYYY FROMTHEM

I had an excellent experience at Costa Rica dental Lab, everyone was extremely courteous and the work they did on my crowns and overall work was fantastic. I traveled from Washington DC to Costa Rica and the costs at Costa Rica dental lab came out at more than half of what I was quoted to do the same work in DC. They recommended a nice hotel and good options for tours, for the few days that I spent in San Jose.

What you need to know about Bone Graft in Costa Rica
Bone Graft is considered an invasive dental procedure that requires sedation and considerable planning by specialist dental staff. This type of Dentistry procedure / treatment can be considered reasonably expensive, especially given the skill set, experience, training and equipment used by the specialists involved. For Bone Graft, photos are required for the specialist to review prior to treatment.

With any dental surgery, you should expect to feel a little disoriented from the sedation and you may want to rest a little for the next day or two. But then you should expect to be back on your feet right away. You'll be prescribed anti-inflammatories and pain-killers to help control the swelling and pain in your mouth.

You should expect to stay in Costa Rica for about a week after your dental surgery, this will allow for your wounds to heal and should any complications arise, you can revisit the dentist. Given the high success rate of this dental surgery, complications are uncommon, but when they do occur, it's mostly just prolonged soreness and swelling to the gum and surrounding area. Additional meds may be prescribed to help combat this.
