The doctor and all the other staff are very thorough and compassionate. I came here for an angiogram, and I was somewhat scared at the thought of getting it, but the doctor and staff were absolutely fantastic. I ended up having a stent, and the whole team made it bearable. Thank you to all the staff who really went over and above for me. I feel so lucky to have chosen Thonburi hospital for my treatment.
Amazing doctors, amazing staff. The doctor and nurses were very caring. Answered all of my questions clearly and provided excellent service. They were all quick and efficient. The room I stayed in was very comfortable and the food was great. If you want to undergo medical treatment in Phuket, you should definitely choose Bangkok Hospital Phuket.
I understand why this hospital is considered the best in Thailand. Traveled all the way from Australia to get my treatment here after I heard good things about it. Superb staff, very friendly, attentive, and helpful. Many of the staff can speak English, so communication is not a problem. I asked many questions and told them my concerns, and they answered patiently and put me at ease. Had to stay for several days after my treatment. The room was super clean, well-designed, and definitely made me feel comfortable. The nurses checked on me every hour or so, and the food was surprisingly great. Though having to stay in a hospital is never a good experience, I would say my time in Bumrungrad was a pleasant one. A bit pricey when compared to other hospitals around the area, but with the quality service and high-level care offered, it was all worth it.
What a fantastic hospital. I was nervous beforehand about having a breast augmentation, but the surgeon and all the staff made me feel confident. The surgeon listened to everything about what I wanted, extremely meticulous and attentive as well. They have modern equipment and the hospital is squeaky clean! The procedure was really smooth, I felt really comfortable and well taken care of. There is staff who can speak English.I am extremely satisfied with the results!! 🥰🥰
That was the best experience I've had in a hospital. Being in a hospital sucks😔 but the whole staff made my stay a special one. 😆 They were truly amazing. My doctor was remarkable and the nurses really went above and beyond to comfort me in every way possible. They checked on me every 10 minutes or so prior and after the surgery to reassure me that everything was going to be ok.

Omentectomy is a surgical procedure to remove part or all of the omentum. The omentum is layers of peritoneum or abdominal tissue that covers the stomach, large intestine, as well as other abdominal organs. There are two different types of surgery: supracolic omentectomy (the entire omentum is removed) and partial omentectomy (only part of the omentum is removed). The procedure is required if you have ovarian cancer that has spread into the omentum or to decrease the risk of cancer spreading from the ovaries to the stomach and other abdominal organs.
Omentectomy can be performed through laparoscopic surgery or open surgery; both are done under general anesthetic. With laparoscopic surgery, your surgeon makes small incisions in the abdomen to insert a laparoscope and surgical instruments, while with open surgery; your surgeon makes a single large incision in the abdomen. The procedure is usually performed during an operation to remove the primary tumor, such as Hysterectomy and Oophorectomy.
If you have had laparoscopic surgery, you will only have to stay in the hospital for a day. If you have open surgery, you usually need to stay in the hospital for 2 or more days. After you are discharged, plan to stay in Thailand for 7 to 14 days for hospital follow-up checkups, removal of stitches, and the initial recovery.
The recovery period from an omentectomy can be different depending on what other procedure you had at the same time and you will have to rest for 1 week, If you have an oophorectomy or hysterectomy during the same procedure, it may take around eight weeks until you can return to your normal activities.
Your surgeon will give you a set of post-operative instruction that includes care for your wound, diet, and exercises. Avoid any heavy lifting and strenuous activity until you fully recover. Following an omentectomy, your surgeon may also recommend you to undergo chemotherapy to destroy any residual cancer cells.
Omentectomy is a safe and effective procedure with a high success rate. However, there are risks and side effects associated with the procedure, such as lymphedema (buildup of fluid caused by lymph vessel blockage), nerve damage, and pain.
Omentectomy is the most effective procedure available to remove cancer cells or reduce the risk of cancer from the omentum. However, if you do not want to undergo surgery, you can discuss with your doctor the best possible alternative for your case.
After an omentectomy, the risk of your cancer spreading to the stomach and other abdominal organs is greatly reduced. If you have cancer in your omentum, the procedure will treat the condition.
