I am an Australian living and working in Vietnam. I attended the East Rose Dental Clinic for an upper jaw dental implant procedure earlier this year and the subsequent fitting of the abutment and bridge six months later. I've never been a fan of going to the dentist, and having returned today from my second appointment with Dr Nhung, I can't recommend here enough. Very nice and polite staff and great service. I am so glad that I found I Dent Dental Implant on the internet from Canada, I have communicated with Jennifer for 6 or more months prior to flying to vietnam. She was very professional, polite and informative. The dental clinic was over the top, very clean and state of the art equipment. They treated me like a 5 star patient!!! I had 3 implants done and a root canal surgery, 3 months later I can sincerely say that all the work was a complete success. The surgeon and the dentist was first class….. The staff were great!! I've been to several hospitals in Hanoi over the years, but visited Thu Cuc Hospital for the first time this month. You're given a translator as soon as you arrive and they help every step of the way, so it's really easy to communicate with the staff as well as understanding the recommendations and treatments prescribed. The hospital seems to be run quite efficiently, and everything was "western standard" clean. I saw both a Cuban doctor and a Vietnamese doctor; both did the appropriate exams and tests, and prescribed the recommended treatments (I'm a nurse and I actually do check this stuff before I blindly follow what I'm told by medical staff - something I've especially learned to do here in Vietnam). It seemed to be quite well-equipped, too. So, I'm impressed! Prices are less than in many of the private hospitals and I felt that I was treated very well. I'd definitely return to this hospital when the need for medical care arises again.

This hospital just wants to get as much money as possible from the patient. I had arthritis, but I was forced to get a lot of tests related to blood and heart. After all, only one finger ultrasound test (where I have pain) is valuable. All other tests are considered to be no problem and I have to pay for all these tests.

We were introduced here in 2017, since then my husband and I have attended on three separate occasions, even bringing various family and friends. Terrible. Suffered major damage post-operation. Had to be rectified by a dentist back home. This was following an examination by a dentist in Saigon before flying home who confirmed that the procedure carried out on me should not have been proposed to me in the first place. The best thing here is the customer service...they are very nice...it was the procedure that shouldn't have been offered that let things down. Be mindful here.

I had a crown fall out on my recent visit to Ho Chi Minh. I did a quick google search and found Dental Ucare. I stopped by the office the next day without an appointment and they were able to see me right away. On my first visit they made a mold of the tooth and told me it would be ready the following day, which I was really impressed by since in the US it takes about one week for the crown to be made. I returned the following day to have the crown installed and everything went smoothly at a fraction of the cost and time that it would take at home. Highly recommend!

What you need to know about Retainer in Vietnam
Retainer is a non-invasive dental procedure that can be carried out at short notice by any trained dentist. This type of Dentistry procedure / treatment is relatively affordable, especially in Vietnam. Mainly because the skill set and experience required by the specialist doesn't need to be as extensive as it may be for other procedures. For Retainer, photos are required for the specialist to review prior to treatment.

Recovery is fast, with just minor discomfort to be expected, which may take a day or two to completely go away, but generally, you can expect to get on with your day immediately after Retainer. Forms of aftercare may include avoiding eating a few hours after and avoid consuming drinks that may stain your teeth like coffee or red wine.

Unless you opt for more dental procedures after, you are free to leave Vietnam right away. Considering the high success rate of this dental treatment, complications are rare and when they do occur it's mostly just prolonged soreness and swelling of the gum and surrounding area or increased sensitivity on the teeth. If this continues or the pain becomes too much, you can go back to the dentist who may prescribe additional painkillers and meds to help combat the pain.
