I went to Cutis for the first time this week and was so impressed by the professionalism and warmth of Dr Sylvia and all of the staff. I came for a Botox treatment and am super happy with the results, which look and feel really light and …
+extremely well done alarplasty+patiently answers all questions+no hidden costs (everything included in the price they state - medicine, laser treatment, anaesthesia costs + free subsequent checkups)+much cheaper than other trusted plastic surgeonsThe only real negative is that my appointment always starts 1h - 1h30min late. So if your appt is at 1pm, you’ll only be seen at 2-2.30pm.
Dr.Chio is very caring towards his patients worries and needs. Although his clinic is far from my house, but it’s worth to travel all the way to Bedok just to be treated by him. Their packages are affordable too. Overall, I recommend him. He’s really a good doctor! 😊
Friendly and professional service..... always on time . Been going to Dermclear Clinic for a few years and I am very happy with their procedures and results. Very knowledgeable and happy to discuss needs..... definitely would recommend!
I’m surprised there aren’t more reviews. I have a stubborn hypertrophic scar on my right arm and after one treatment with Dr Lew the scar is visibly flatter and feels a lot softer. I’ve gone for my second treatment and I’m excited to see the end results and finally be rid of the scar. And it’s not just that. Dr Lew is one of the most wonderful doctors I’ve ever met in my life (and I’m not exaggerating). She is kind, patient, and really takes the time to understand your needs. She is more like an older sister who just wants the best for you and gives great advice; I also asked for advice regarding my migraines, hormonal acne and use of BCP and she’s generous with her knowledge and what she thinks is the best course of action for me, with my health as the top priority. I highly recommend this clinic and Dr Lew (even her staff is great and professional); her services are generally pricier but I can’t see myself seeing another dermatologist.
I had adult acne problems all of a sudden and went to Dr Benjamin for treatment. Within two months my skin cleared up and now at the 6 month mark my skin is back to better than normal. I love Dr Ben's cleanser and continue to go back to buy more. Thanks Dr Ben for your help!
I have been with Skinlab for over a year now and I enjoy their services. Love how my skin feels after each facial session :) I'm well taken care by Vicky for my facial and am very happy with my experience so far.
I’ve always accepted my droopy eyelids but since they’ve been feeling heavier and starting to affect my sight, I decided to get ptosis surgery. Dr Leo patiently gave me all the information I need, and felt assuring. True to his word, the surgery went smoothly and without complications. Thankful to the whole team!
Dr Leong is very professional, patient and detail in her skin analysis. She will target on problem areas and suggest the most suitable solution for you. The staff also provide excellent friendly service. 👍👍👍

Cosmetology is the study and application of beauty treatments to the skin, hair, and nails. It includes skincare, skin analysis, hair styling, cosmetics, manicure/pedicures, chemical hair treatment, non-permanent hair removal (such as sugaring and waxing), and permanent hair removal (such as electrology and intense pulsed light). Cosmetologists can also perform relaxation techniques, aromatherapies, reflexology, expert makeup applications, and theatrical applications.
Cosmetologists can be divided into several specialties, including hair color specialists, barber, skin care consultants, or more technical professions, such as Aestheticians who are licensed professionals who focus on treating skin-related issues, such as acne, signs of aging, and hyperpigmentation. They are also trained to perform technical procedures, such as microdermabrasion, cosmetic electrotherapy treatments (galvanic current, high frequency), mechanical massage (g8 vibratory ad vacuum), ultrasound/ultrasonic treatments (low level), and microcurrent (also referred to as nonsurgical “facelifts). Aestheticians who undergo special training may be able to offer permanent makeup applications, laser hair removal, light chemical peels, microblading, electrology, and eyelash extensions as well.
After cosmetology procedures, you should be able to leave the cosmetologist office on the same day. You may even be allowed to leave for home during the same day of your cosmetology procedure. However, since some of the procedures, such as microdermabrasion, require several sessions you may want to stay in Singapore until your whole treatment plan is completed. Your medical travel team should be able to advise you on this matter.
Most cosmetology procedures require little to no downtime and you should be able to go back to work immediately unless your cosmetologist says otherwise. You may experience some temporary side effects, but usually, nothing that requires bed rest.
The aftercare will be different, depending on the type of procedure you underwent. In general, you need to take care of the area of skin where the procedure took place. For instance, you may need to stay out of the sun, use a rich moisturizer, avoid makeup, and keep yourself hydrated after microdermabrasion, micro-needling, and chemical peels. To maintain the results of your cosmetology procedure, you may need a touch up once or twice a year, depending on the treatment you undergo.
The success rate of cosmetology largely depends on the skills of your cosmetologist. However, given the advances in technology and understanding of the skin, nail, and hair, cosmetology procedures offer a high success rate and most people are satisfied with the results they get. Since almost all cosmetology procedures are noninvasive, the risks are also minimal. Some temporary side effects may include minor pain, discomfort, redness, and swelling. Rare, complications include infections, allergic reactions, burns, and severe pain. The key to avoiding these complications is to follow all instructions your cosmetologist gives you and also ensure that your cosmetologist is certified or licensed.
Alternatives to cosmetology depend on the type of procedure you underwent. If you go to a cosmetologist for a microcurrent to get a younger appearance, you can consider the surgical alternative to the procedure, which is a facelift. If you seek a cosmetologist help to regrow your thinning hair, you can get a hair transplant as the surgical alternative.
