While the nursing staff are excellent the overall experience is quite poor. Parking is an absolute nightmare, poor food choices (deliFrance option is terrible, very poor quality, rude staff, always out of food).

Booked a hospital tour and was attended to by Ms Loh Jin Feng who is really pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable. As a FTM, there were many questions thrown at Jin Feng but she proved to be really patient in addressing every one of our concerns. Tour was also well managed, punctual and smooth. I strongly recommend Thomson Medical TCM to anyone seeking pain relief. My first visit at Thomson Punggol had been a wonderful experience. The encounter with the counter staff and the acupressure therapist, Leona Chia had been very pleasant. They are patient, helpful, and most importantly, caring. Leona is very skilful in her treatment and knowledgeable too. She would spontaneously share tips on how to eat well and live well. Whenever she performs acupressure, she makes me feel well taken care of as she would not just treat the area of pain, instead she will go on to treat places where the pain could be linked. The strength applied is just right too. Leona definitely cares about the health of her patients. Before I went back, she even came along to the counter to share with me 3 exercises I could do at home so as to assist me in healing faster. I have since switch my treatment to Thomson from RMC and I have enjoyed every session at both NUH & Punggol. Thank you Thomson Medical & Leona! 🤗

Delivered my first child here and had an excellent experience! The nurses were kind, warm, encouraging and put me at ease. I was well looked after right from admission. The hospital staff are also very helpful and patient in answering any queries I had. In particular, Polly - a wonderful hospital ambassador, who was always a joy to speak with! All in all, my experience at Thomson medical centre was extremely positive and I felt completely at ease at every visit even during a global pandemic.

My Wife delivered our first child here on 17 August 2020.We experienced an excellent experience,despite the complication delivery we had went through.Nevertheless we were assured that everything went well from the start of the labour up to our Discharge. We would like to thank Ms Helen Tan ( Deputy Director Operations at Thomson Medical Centre ) so much for ensuring that everything went smoothly for my wife and for visiting her throughout her 3 days stay. She also went out of her way and helped to communicate all our needs to the related departments, which we are very grateful for. Thank you for all the help given to us and also for the warm welcome and hospitality.A big gratitude towards her, the doctors who took care of my wife and baby, all the staffs and nurses in level 3 ward.We would also like to thank Dr Lew Hui Jian, who performed the anaesthesia during my wife's surgery as he made sure that she felt comfortable and less scared before her surgery started. According to my wife, she did not feel any pain and she appreciates that Dr Lew gave her many words of encouragement as he knew that she was scared and nervous. Our stay at Thomson Medical has been amazing! It felt like a staycation amidst the circuit breaker! Some days I even forget that I was in a hospital as their service was like a mixture between a confinement centre and a hospital which made transition into confinement practices a bit easier after discharge. A very special thanks to the professional doctors took care of me medically and to the caring nurses that motivated me during my delivery and nurses that continued to care for recovery.Looking back at my experience, I’m missing the stay and everyone that I met during my stay. Everyone was so pleasant and positive and it made it a good start to parenthood!

Had a super bad experience. The employee at the Patient Service Center was super rude as well. Admission took 1 hour because the person was new and did not know the processes well. Just called them regarding the hospital bill and the person who answered was totally impatient in answering my queries. It seems like the hospital did not have enough manpower to handle the customers. Not worth paying so much for this private hospital. Suggest to visit others.

I would like to compliment Ms Siti Miriam, the lactation Consultant. She is very patient, knowledgeable and very assuring . She went the extra mile to answer all the questions we have . I am very impressed . she has far exceeded my expectation and is even better than all the famous Consultants I see online . I have ever even hired a consultant home but the experience is not as good as the one by Siti .Additionally , at the labour ward, sister Grace Au is fabulous and extraordinary. 5 thumbs up . I would like to share my pleasant experiences with Thomson Medical's TCM. I visited Physician Ho Wee Kok who practises at NUH Medical Centre for a headache. Physician Ho is a caring, professional and thorough physician. He would listen attentively and ask for thorough history before administering treatment. I had migraine since early July and after repeated consultations at Raffles, spending so much money, my condition did not improve at all. However, Physician Ho managed to relief my pain after one session of acupuncture. Physician Ho would also take time to advise on the food to refrain from which I did not get from visiting Raffles. The medicine he prescribed works well for me as it delivers the effect. I would strongly recommend Physician Ho to anyone who is looking for a caring and skilful physician.

Bad service, unclear instructions, paid for delivery at hospital but still have to pay for parking. food catered is overpriced, no food options within facility. Paid as a stay in visitor but given a sofa to sleep on, still have to pay separately for lunch and dinner on top of stay in fee. DisappointingOnly excellent experience was from the delivery team and staff at level 3 and 4. Level 1 staff just spoilt the whole experience for me.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE experience here! Nurses and staff were extremely rude and hostile. My mother was here for her delivery and was in a lot of pain, the Nurses were screaming and yelling at her to “keep quiet” and “shut up”. Service was also extremely slow. You would think since it’s a private hospital, service and experience would be better. Everybody is better off at a government hospital, prices are also much more affordable with better service. I would never come here for my own delivery or medical needs and would recommend my friends/family to do the same. Not to mention their IVF mix up a few years ago. Please do yourself a favour and never come here!!!!l

Please save yourself the trouble and visit another clinic. This clinic does not provide clear billings and a clarification process with them can drag more than ten days. I only had a ten minute consultation with the doctor but I got charged nursing fees and facility fees which took up 20 percent of the total cost. You add this ridiculous charge to their already expensive consultation, expensive parking, and the cost of their medicine which is double/triple from what I got from another hospital and their tardy after service. Basically, you would question yourself why would you spend so much getting this type of service from such a clinic and you would end up with regrets.My regret is that I have been loyal to this hospital and clinic before this. From here on, I don’t think I will ever step foot again there and will be sure to let my friends and family know to steer clear of this clinic.

Janet’s team was very cheerful, positive, friendly and helpful.In addition, we would like to commend 2 individuals who left a great impression on us.We would like to compliment Kaveetha on her work ethics. There was always a poitive vibe around her every time when she is the one responding to our call. Her passion on her job is obvious and is always enthusiastic when helping us. She always go to the extra mile to assure and advise us as first time inexperienced parents. To her, answering a call is never just a routine task. Always love my experience at TMC! Did a surgery there late last year and currently seeing my gynae at TMC for my first pregnancy. The nurses there were friendly and caring throughout my stay and always helpful. The staff at the information counter are also always very helpful. I would like to specially mention Grace and Polly, who were very attentive to my needs. I was trying to enquire more about the room and hospital charges in preparation for my delivery, and Grace was very helpful in answering my queries. Even though hospital tours are now suspended, she was very patient in explaining to me the different room types and facilities available. Polly was very kind to help me with my goodie bag collection even though it was a last minute request. I would definitely choose TMC for my next pregnancy!

My wife was suffering from severe pain due to contraction when we reach at the hospital at around 7:30pm, Tuesday 30June. Upon arrival at the entrance we were greeted by the security personnel, they politely assisted and standby the wheel chair.Everything was on a rush as they found out that my wife will deliver the baby very soon. Immediately they alerted Dr Ang while they are preparing the tools for delivery. I went down to the reception at level 1 for admission. I was greeted by Helen, she calmly explained the details and the estimated cost before making the deposit. Half way during the process I told her that I have to go back to delivery suite because my wife will deliver anytime.She told me not to worry as she will just bring the papers for me to sign later. At around 8:14pm after a few push my wife give birth to a beautiful little princess. Big thanks to the Nurses at delivery suites attention to details, and to Dr Lawrence Ang our trusted and the best Doctor.Also to Helen of the paediatric ward, my wife is really happy with her great service. She took care of my new born very well, and gave a lot of advise to my wife in nursing the babies.Overall, we are very satisfied with Thomson medical team. Kudos to all of you!

The labour ward Nurses were very supportive and caring. It made the stressful labour duration much more enjoyable for both parents. The meticulous effort of each staff and nurse right from the front desk to the wards are commendable. I would like to compliment Ms Anuja from the Patient Service Centre for her 5* helpfulness, attentiveness, patience and service. As a first time patient due for hospitalisation for a surgery, it was stressful to think about the procedure I was about to undergo and even more so on billing and payment matters. Knowing that I had concerns about the admission procedure and payment, she initiated to speak with her team in order to smoothen the process for me. Furthermore despite not working on the day of my admission, she also completed the pre-admission paperwork prior to be handed over to her colleague. Upon discharge, she followed up and provided me the contact whom I can reach out to with pertaining to the status of my claim. Throughout our correspondences, Anuja was clear in her advice and detailed in her follow-up which I appreciated as I dislike uncertainty. Had an unbelievable experience at this hospital while visiting my relative, the girls at the entrance conducting the health screen and the front desk were so nice and helpful , the Nurses were all cheerful and pleasant as wellbut was shocked when we encountered an extremely rude and condescending person who was raising her voice and with no basic courtesy at all .What was even more shocking was that she's the Director of Quality ( Deborah EE ) How can a organization like Thomson Medical engage such a low class person for the job of Director - She's definitely not refined or skilled enough for the job- How can the Management and Board of Directors condone such behavior and still be oblivious of it.No way she will be able to train her staff on Quality management which includes customer service. ( My Family just believe that ). we were there for 3 days and all other staff including the security people were all so courteous and nice- Hope she will send for counseling and retraining

After my medical appointment when i came out Only then i found out that It was raining heavily and i realized that I didn't take my umbrella along and i was also carrying my sick baby. I book grab and had to wait for my grab.Then there was this malay guy working in Thomson hospital when my grab came he shelter me all the way until i got into the vehicle making sure that my baby and i didn't get wet.I never expected the hospital to have such service.I noticed the guy`s name tag. His name is Zairy.I didn't ask to be shelter or ask for help. But he just came and ask if i am waiting for someone or if i am waiting for grab and he shelter me.I am happy that there is such service. I will recommend my friends to come here.Perfect!

You will lose faith in humanity If you go to this hospital.. From the Indian receptionist who is cold hearted when we brought our sickly 2 year old and she was rude to us and was scolding us who was our pediatrician and how all their rooms are full in a rude way. We moved to Mt alvernia we were met with service with compassion and a heart a complete opposite experience. They treat foreigners pretty badly and they hate their job at Thomson medical the receptionists.. Why not find a different job if you hate people who are sick and especially don't be in the service industry !!

My wife was admitted to Thomson Medical on 17 December 2019. She was discharged on 21 December 2019 together with our beautiful daughter.We would like to thank our gynae Dr Tan Pamela Yu Fen for being so professional, genuinely caring and supportive during our stay there. She was always sensitive and attentive to our birth preferences, and patiently took the time to explain how certain decisions we had to make were for the best for both mummy and baby. We also like to thank all the nurses at the Delivery Suite and the Maternity Ward for being so caring and patient. We really felt that we were in good hands and under great care. During our time in the Delivery Suite, we were attended to by Sister Mila. Her cheerful, calm and positive manner really helped us during the difficult moments. She was very patient with our requests, and also very encouraging to us during our stay in the Delivery Suite. She made sure my wife was comfortable and helped her to the restroom while attached to the drip, and also made sure my wife was comfortable with the wireless fetal monitor. Her kind and encouraging presence, together with the excellent care she provided, was a great source of comfort and support to my wife. Afterwards when we were in the maternity ward, Sister Susie and her team were always very ready to help and encouraging with tips on breastfeeding.My wife and I are now home and happily very busy with our baby girl. I'd like to commend on the awesome service and helpfulness of TMC staff..Ms Annie Chiong from Guest Service was so helpful and professional and caring in answering all my "complicated" enquiries over the phone and patiently finding the most effective and affordable solutions for me..I dare to say my enquiry is complicated because I tried calling other clinics and hospitals, and all of them either answer with a simple "you need to see a doctor" or asking me to make appointment...And today I went to TMC (for the first time!) for the appointment.Again I'm greeted with friendly staff amidst rainy morning..From Ms Susan Zhang at 24hr family clinic who was helpful and friendly, to the lab staff (filipina, didn't get her name) who are so skillful in drawing blood from my very very shy vein!This is the first time I had a super smooth blood taking.. 😅I'm grateful for TMC!

I slipped and fell in front of this hospital — I injured my leg to the point where I couldn’t get up and had hit my head. I was alone. There was a nurse from Thomson Medical Centre — in her uniform — a few steps behind me when it happened and she walked right past without saying a word as I was calling out in pain. Seriously — this is how caring your staff are?I live 3 minutes from here and will go out of my way to avoid this place for the rest of my life. I suggest everyone else do the same.

I brought my child to see one of the PD over at Thomson Medical Centre and it was the worst experience ever.The PD suggested my child to be hospitalised and when I asked what if I don't want to do that and the PD told me: "You are looking for trouble".The PD asked my child to undergo xray, bloodtest and nebulisation, and overall the bill became over $400 including medicine and consultation. Recently I went to KTP A&E and it only cost me $122 for medicine, consultation, bloodtest and xray. Next day I went to see another PD and he told me my child did not need hospitalisation because my child was still quite active. There was no need for nebulisation too because my child didn't have breathing difficulty. He ordered another bloodtest and told me that the previous medicine given was not effective when the results came back.

Very lousy,hospital. Not open and honest about costs of delivery baby. Lots of hidden costs. You will get a big shock when you see the final bill. When I asked my wife's gynaecologist,she will ask you go ask the counter. The counter will only explain about half the total costs.Lots of costs hidden. They are scare if they explain total costs to you in the beginning,you will run away and they lose 1 customer.They will wait till you delivered baby already,going to discharge from hospital,then ask you go counter to get your shocking bill.As a hospital,they should be honest about total costs.I understand as private hospital,you are more expensive than K.K hospital.But you must also be honest and upfront about total costs when customer asks.Dont try to hide costs just because you scare to lose customer.They scare customer will change to K.K hospital.I will advise eveyone not to give birth at TMC.Having a newborn baby is a happy thing,but I advise everyone dont deliver at TMC if you dont want your good mood to be spoilt.Parents are happy because have new baby,but when see the bill,get angry.👎👎👎😡😡😡

terrible pd they have. brought my 15 months old son to see one of them to learn more about my son's development as it was the 1st time for us. my wife and i wanted to know more of how our son is progressing so far..female pd seems rushing and show no interest at all. asked a few very basic questions which a normal family doctor would have asked as well. i think the family doctor under my hdb block can be a better pd than this lady. such unprofessional.

I visited the 24 hour clinic on a public holiday. It was busy and while the staff moved briskly they were so patient and nice to explain all the details of my condition. I had to run several tests and a check up, it was all conducted empathetically and I was made to feel very comfortable by the doctor and nurses. They also gave me options on buying the prescriptions there or at pharmacies - no hard sell. Very impressed with the service so I am surprised by some of these terrible reviews.

Very lousy hospital.Never tell patients real costs. Patients asks for total costs but they are not honest about total costs.Lots of hidden costs. They scare customers run away.Very dishonest hospitals doctors,nurses,counter staffs. They will lie about real costs,wait till you deliver baby already,going to discharge,then will shock you with their expensive hidden costs. Private hospitals also should not work like this. This is medical industry. Not sales industry. I think TMC can be voted best sales-aggressive hospital.

Thankfully I only had a viral infection with flu like symptoms. Anything more serious I would recommend others go somewhere else. The doctor was madly typing out a long list of medications / prescriptions and didn’t even make eye contact before I could even finish describing how I felt. Rushed.

Kang Sheng's DR Adrian is a very good doctor. I have two children who are helping him to check and deliver. I really appreciate him. I have these two healthy "good" babies. The only thing that made me particularly disappointed was that I came home after hospitalization and found that my ID card was lost. I asked Kangsheng’s front desk and inpatient department to help me find it. I have no news or condolences until now! I feel disappointed with Kang Sheng! The key point is that I have not moved my ID card after I registered for hospitalization, so I have disappeared! 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

I have been visiting TMC regularly for my wife check up throughout the yrs and I’m quite satisfied with the doctors and staffs service. Parking there is quite smooth too. Normally I will just pass the car to their valet and they will park it at the basement. Collection of car will be a bit slow depend on the queue but is still acceptable. Unluckily today my car was parked at the open carpark today and was raining heavily. The management should provide the valet staffs with umbrella. They were all drenched. When I collected my car from them the seat was soaking. And i need to rush back to work with my wetted shirt n pants.

For the childbirth part, Wards have barely any natural light. The place is cold and the doors do not have proper isolation. Too may ppl come in and out of the mother s room when all she needs is some rest... THE BABY : took my baby to the pediatric clinic for vaccination and we had to wait close to 2 Hours!!- In Ac room with other 20 sick children. She got the flu twice! I' ve had it. I appreciate the doctor, but they need to implement an sms service like sgh or any other clinic and allow parents to go out with their kids and come back few minutes before their turn. Awful experience.. If it weren't for the nurses i' d give it 1 star.. The hospital needs upgrading.

Update:Met the gynae, Dr Caroline Khi (ACJ Clinic, Thomson) with Thomson staff to convey, without uncertainty, our disappointment with her performance.- Found Caroline's explanation on the consistent mis-estimation of birth weight rather underwhelming, given that its not a once off estimation, but rather a consistent mis-estimation from 1st Trimester till birth. One of the Thomson staff claims that 15-20% off birth weight is common in Thomson.- Caroline did try to explain her decisions during the birth process. We remain to have some doubt given the her poor performance. - Overall bill was adjusted slightly based on goodwill and attached for reference. Nevertheless, still a low value for money place for giving birth. To be fair, some of the Thomson staff are quite helpful, but as a whole, there seem to be significant disparity in experience within Thomson.----------------I am no medical expert- but the delivery experience is disappointing and worrying for us as first time parents. 1. Admitted at midnight based on gynae's recommendation after 2cm dilation (38 weeks 0 days) was assessed in the morning routine check-up. Clinic says contractions are regular, but wife could not feel them. Dilation was still 2cm when we checked in as per gynae instructions around midnight. Wife was not feeling any contractions. No waterbag burst, No bloody show. Thomson did not explain to us anything and proceeded to induce over 16-17 hrs, before the gynae asked us to go for emergency c-Sect. 2. G

Very slow service, not nearly as responsive as other hospitals. They have far more patients than they have capacity for. Expect to wait at least an hour for your queue number to be called. UPDATE: the staff has apologized for the long delay and has promised to do better in future.FURTHER UPDATE:If you are taking the shuttle from Novena MRT, you must watch for the shuttle like a hawk and push your way in as soon as the doors open. It won't be easy to spot the shuttle, because it will be plastered with advertisements for cord blood freezing, supplements, etc. The word "Thomson" will probably be written somewhere in tiny text. If you see a shuttle for Cryoviva, that's probably the Thomson shuttle.As soon as the doors open you must force your way on, lest the driver close the door in your face, as he did to my pregnant wife. Apparently he is eager to finish his route so he can take a smoking break, so he won't always let all the passengers on before driving away.

Has been calling the child birth education dept for 10+ calls but calls are not being answered. Wrote an email to request for reverting calls, the dept replied the email and I request again to give me a call as i has been calling since morning from 9am - 11am for things to be clarified. No one reverting back a call. Hope the dept can look into this matter as patient / customer experience could be low due to the person in charge is not responding.help and clarification needed but no response. Thank you.

Doctors here can be good depending on which clinic you go to. Nurses are competent.The painful thing about this place is that the parking can be a nightmare. Whilst they do have valets here. I find most of them to be rude or impatient, there by making the already stressful parking situation worse.This has pretty much turned me off from the place. For my family's pediatric needs, I much prefer other locations without the nightmare parking issue.

I gave birth to 2 kids here with some pregnancy complications. I am very grateful for the care of DR W K Tan and all her personal nurses! The team deserves 5 stars but I reserve one due to the admin staff. Recently, I booked an appointment on Thomson homepage. When I called up the clinic 3 days in advance only to find that DR W K Tan's admin staff or system did not integrate with the hospital or something. I called up the counter, the lady tried to offer a few time slots. When I decided not to book, i was given the take-it or-leave-it attitude again.

My wife recently gave birth at Thomson Medical Centre. The experience was overwhelmingly positive. The place would earn a five star except for the ineptness of the hospital's administration staff.The delivery itself went smoothly. Our obstetrician Dr. Benjamin Tham is to be commended for this. I also have the highest regard and respect for the nurses in the birthing area. Their expertise is calming and they know how to deal with a woman (and a husband!) going through one of life's most profound events.Upstairs, in the premier ward, the nursing staff were professional and highly competent. They have a real love for babies and this shines through.My only complaint about Thomson is the admin staff. After we arrived at the hospital, my wife went to the delivery area and I was made to wait for one hour to complete her paperwork. My wife was fine, but the wait was irritating and unnecessary. Two days after delivery we were to due to check out. A nurse told us that we had "express checkout", which meant we could avoid loitering around in the crowded patient services area on the ground floor.We left, and very soon my wife and I were getting frantic calls from their customer service people asking us to return and sign paperwork. Given that my wife was still exhausted from the delivery, and that we had a newborn to deal with, I flatly refused. They were kind enough to allow us to complete the paperwork when we return for a check up a week after delivery, but the admin staff really n

Worst customer service in a private clinic or any clinic! 3 nurses at the counter and only 1 could issue the queue number?? 2 nurses pushed the job to 1 nurse who was occupied, dispensing medicines to an outpatient. She was thorough in her explanation. But took so long. In the meantime 2 patients left without getting a queue number. Never again!

Contrary to other reviews, I believe it really boils down to the attitude of individual staffs. The care and attention my wife received was beyond my expectation. We were in the labour ward on 01/08/2015 approx 6.30am and was attended by a senior nurse whose name was Angie Liew (if I remember her name correctly), both she and her colleagues during the shift was very professional and caring. When my baby was in fetal distress and had to undergo an emergency c-sec, the instructions given by her to other staff nurses were quick and firm. I could see the sense of urgency in them and protocols were well adhered to. Eventually my baby was brought onto this world safely. Kudos to the team at TMC 😂💕

Unfortunately there isn't many car park space. You have to use valet service which cost $5 and they'll put your car far away from the hospital. They'll provide shuttle bus to the car park once you pay the service upon finishing. The hospital is thoughtful of mother and baby with nursing and changing diaper room provided.
