Joined the first-time mum maternity tour with my wife. Angie provided us with great and detailed service and shared a lot of knowledge regarding breastfeeding as well. Highly recommend.
Pdiddy K., 22 September 2023
While the nursing staff are excellent the overall experience is quite poor. Parking is an absolute nightmare, poor food choices (deliFrance option is terrible, very poor quality, rude staff, always out of food).
Jacqueline T., 21 September 2023
Booked a hospital tour and was attended to by Ms Loh Jin Feng who is really pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable. As a FTM, there were many questions thrown at Jin Feng but she proved to be really patient in addressing every one of our concerns. Tour was also well managed, punctual and smooth. Thank you TMC for the experience.

I have had good experiences visiting dr Ali here in past years..but seems like the place got way too busy now... They have also staffed a lot of new dentists to cash on prevously built repo. Referred a friend who was charged way too much without any real treatment.the reception always sounds clueless whether getting any info, appointments or even feedback.Pretty disappointing .. alas.. time to change my dentist 😒
Bevlyn T., 03 September 2023
I first read about Pure NZ dental online and was amazed by all the great reviews it has! I was having issues with my wisdom tooth and wanted to have a check up ASAP because it was hurting quite a bit. When I came in for the first check up, I immediately felt so comfortable because of the whole environment:) Dr Ali was very detailed in his explanation and very patient too in answering my questions. Not to mention, the staff there were really friendly and patient too! Pretty sure that this is going to be the dental clinic I will be visiting for every check up!

In my opinion, Dr. Yao Xu is the best dentist here, as well as among the myriad dentists I've visited throughout my life. She is incredibly meticulous and detailed, and very thorough at explaining the rationale and science behind her recommendations and treatments. She goes the extra mile to demonstrate what she verbalizes - from showing the proper way to floss to brushing teeth. These might sound like no-brainer tasks but can be very easily executed suboptimally throughout your life because no one ever really showed you the correct way. She is also the only dentist that has proactively offered to apply numbing cream on my gums because I have very sensitive gums/teeth and they hurt during routine scaling. Dr. Yao also puts the patient's needs before profits - she recommended I seek another dentist who was more qualified to provide the orthodontic contraption best suited to my needs, and also polished my teeth again at no cost as the Orasol mouthwash had stained parts of my teeth brown. As others have echoed, this clinic is expensive no doubt, but because I'm covered by corporate insurance I have the privilege of visiting this clinic worry-free.

I was just in earlier this week for a cleaning with Iris, and I just wanted to say that it has been an amazing experience! I am new to Singapore and am so happy with Iris (the hygienist) that I have found! Lovely person, gentle hands, extremely thorough and my gums were not even sore the next day! Thank you Iris!
Keith M., 13 May 2022
WOW!! Dr. Shaun has put together an amazing practice! For some reason I've been reluctant to go to a dentist here in Singapore. I don't know why as I have had absolutely superior care since I've been here. Anyway, I had to go as I had a filling come lose and I was completely blown away. My dentist in the US is really good and I've gone to him for years. But Dr. Shaun and his team are at a whole different level. And Iris who did my cleaning and preliminary exam...there are not enough superlatives to describe how good she is. I was the guinea pig for my family and I texted my wife from the lobby after my cleaning to tell her how good Iris and Dr. Shaun are. I now have appointments for my son and my wife scheduled. Dr. Shaun should be very proud of his staff and the practice he has built. Keep up the great work, you are a model provider.
lyd C., 18 February 2022
went for 2 times teeth cleaning, 1 filling, 2 extractions on different occasions. dr matthew is fantastic for extractions it was relatively painless jus a bit uncomfortable and done efficiently. teeth cleaning done by 2 different hygienists on different occasions n both occasions done v thoroughly , v detailed. though a tad more costly, worth the price for ur teeth! n u get a nice view also!

Visited Queenstown Polyclinic only twice - once in Dec 2019, and again today. I got turned away both times because all the appointments were full. Never had the chance to consult a doctor at the polyclinic at all. Guess I have to visit Bukit Merah Polyclinic instead. At least they don't turn their patients away.

Crowded and long waiting time.
andreas T., 17 January 2023
Made an appointment on Thursday 7:30 and there were plenty of slots available throughout the day. Service was good, staff is helpful. Did my registration in less than 5 mins. Waited around 30 mins to see the Dr. referral to specialist was done at referral counter. Took another 3 mins. Clinic is large with variety of facilities. It is a very good government healthcare service

The staff are all very friendly and the doctors are most pleasant. However, being a polyclinic, the wait can be most daunting. Even to get a blood test can take a hour or so. But by and large most professional.

My appointment for blood test is at 1405hrs and when I reached here to register at 1355hrs as required, the queue is simply too long. What is the purposes of appointment???
Evodka G., 27 August 2023
Send my daughter for her monthly vaccination. I went to the counter as there is no queue but the staff decline to help with my payment. Refer me to the kiosk instead. I'm alone with a baby and a toddler and she couldn't even help me for one minute. Very disappointing service!
Lo'vyn L., 25 July 2023
(+) Always managed to see the doctor at the exact time I booked for.(+) Last saw doctor XueTing. She is very patient in answering my questions and very thorough during the examination.(+) The toilet cubicles are equipped with windows for sending urine samples directly to the lab. Clean, hygienic and efficient.(-) Lab test results take about an hour even though it's suppose to be a fast test.(+) Call the helpline to ask about the medicine. The operator got the exact pharmacist who dispensed the medicine to me to call me back in less than an hour.(+) The pharmacist clarified my doubts very patiently.

Everything you'll need to know about Dental Crown in Singapore

You may need several appointments to get a dental crown. During the procedure, you will be given a local anesthetic. Your dentist will reshape the tooth receiving the crown to make room for the crown, but if your tooth is badly decayed or damaged, your dentist will use filling material so the tooth can support the crown. After your tooth is reshaped, a paste or putty will be used to make an impression of the tooth to receive the crown. Sometimes, your dentist may use a digital scanner instead of a paste to do this. Then, your dentist sends the crown to a lab that makes the crown, which may take several days or weeks.

When the crown is ready, your dentist cements the crown to your tooth. With a same-day procedure, the crown is made in your doctor’s office and you only need to wait for about 1 to 2 hours until the crown is made. A properly fitted crown will feel comfortable, and you will be able to chew normally. Regular check-ups and good oral hygiene habits are essential to ensure the longevity of your dental crown.

Typically, the Dental Crown necessitates a pair of appointments at the dental clinic, separated by a few weeks. In the initial visit, your dentist will ready your tooth and install a short-term crown. The definitive crown generally takes about two to three weeks of wait time for fitting. Thus, if you contemplate undertaking a Dental Crown within Singapore, preparing for a three-week stay is wise. However, this timespan isn't set in stone and can deviate based upon the unique case and the dentist's guidance. Hence, it's definitely ideal to communicate with your selected clinic to gain a more precise timeline and coordinate your journey suitably.

Anticipate some sensitivity and discomfort for a couple of days after undertaking a Dental Crown. The majority of patients can revert to daily routines right after the procedure. Notwithstanding, staying away from tough or adhesive foods for some days is crucial to avert any potential harm to your new dental covering. Embrace a soft oral cleanliness regimen during your healing phase to safeguard the surroundings of your newly fitted crown. If you encounter discomfort as you bite, reach out to your dentist for necessary adjustments to the crown.

Taking care of your mouth after a Dental Crown means keeping your teeth clean, going to the dentist regularly, and eating a balanced diet. Brushing your teeth twice a day and flossing often will help keep your new crown and other teeth clean and healthy. To avoid damaging your new crown, don't chew hard food or ice (especially if you have a porcelain crown), and avoid grinding or clenching your teeth. Regular dentist appointments can check if your crown is working well and spot any problems early.

The Dental Crown is known to be an effective method boasting high effectiveness - dental crowns' overall survival timeframe may span anywhere from 5 to 15 years. Several factors like the nature of the crown material, quality of dental procedure, the individual's oral cleanliness habits, and the person's broad health and lifestyle conditions play a significant role.

The daily upkeep of these dental crowns significantly impacts their longevity and effectiveness. This embraces thorough brushing and flossing, frequent dental examinations, and preventive dentistry. Individuals who uphold stellar oral hygiene standards and heed their dentist's advice about crown upkeep are more likely to experience better success with their dental crowns. It's also crucial to emphasize that lifestyle actions like grinding teeth or biting on hard substances can harm the crown, shortening its useful life.

The Dental Crown is deemed one of the most effective methods for restoring the form and function of a damaged tooth. But it's important to keep in mind that this is not the only solution. The choice of therapy depends on the patient's dental health, personal preferences, and financial situation. Remember that it's crucial to have a lengthy discussion with your dentist about the wide range of alternatives available. With respect to your particular situation and preference, other potential options can be investigated such as these:

  • Dental fillings can be one such option. For teeth with minor to moderate damage, such as those with cavities or minor fractures, this therapy is ideal.
  • Dental veneers might also be a fantastic choice. These thin covers intended to cover the teeth's frontal surfaces are essential for enhancing their appearance and protecting them from damage. When compared to dental crowns, veneers have a higher likelihood of maintaining their natural appearance and resisting fading over time.
  • Dental implants are another excellent choice to take into account. Replacement teeth might be held in these metal frameworks that are surgically inserted into the jawbone beneath your gums. Dental implants can be a long-term option for people who are coping with tooth loss.
