These are mainly malignant tumors, tumors near the spine, tumors of the skull base, prostate tumors, head and neck tumors, children cancer and lung tumors - mostly localized and locally progressed tumours. Thanks to lower irradiation of the healthy tissue, it is possible to apply a higher dose to the tumor and increase the effectiveness of treatment.

Proton therapy is a highly precise method of radiotherapy, mainly due to the physical properties of protons themselves, as well as to the specific way proton doses are distributed within tissues. The utilisation of this method results in high local control over tumors, a lower probability of damage tosurrounding healthy tissues, a low risk of complications and a higher chance of rapid recovery.

The treatment is suitable for all patients regardless of age, mainly depending on diagnosis. There are great results being achieved in the treatment of tumors in children, where the use of conventional photon radiation or chemotherapy is associated with a high risk of side effects and complications.
