The nurse has a bad attitude, when the patient is a punching bag with relatives? I have never seen such an impolite nurse and doctor. The pressure of being a doctor is understandable, but I have never seen an impenetrable doctor (Mary) seriously, and he is depraved of other medical staff.

On Tuesday, August 25th, 2O2O, I didn’t have time to go to Queen Mary Hospital to help take my deaf friend for follow-up visits to the doctor, because I had something to help bring Ah Zhen to Prince Union Square at 2 pm and needed a new card for China Mobile. I seldom go to the Central International Finance Center to watch the computer and the Internet, because I will go to Tseung Kwan O Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital many times to help take Ah Zhen’s husband for follow-up consultation

Queen Mary Hospital's B6 ward (a medical respiratory isolation ward) was on strike today. All doctors and nurses were proposed to have sick leave today except for a nursing officer (please see attached poster). Telephoned the ward and waited for a long time for someone to answer my phone. Then a male staff answered the phone at last saying that he is the nursing officer. I asked him why I needed to wait for a long time and was he the only staff on the ward? He was rude as he hung up my phone suddenly without saying anything. Hong Kong always has doctors and nurses shortage esp Hong Kong has a flu season at present. How can anyone propose all medical and nursing staff pretend to be ill on the ward? What happened to their patients? Queen Mary Hospital is a teaching hospital and this action sets a very bad example abut the Hong Kong medical care.

I don't understand why there are so many foreigners leaving negative comments about substandard medical services they claimed to have received at QMH. My own experiences for myself and my aging parents in the past 10 years have been satisfactory. I would give it 80% - 85%. The guys working there are subject to extreme workloads and pressures since HK allowed far too many inconsiderate and rude immigrants from you-know-where! Before we open our mouths to complain we'd better try putting out foot in their shoes and don't exaggerate things just because we aren't happy about single incidents.

Went in Friday with a semi emergency - stomach bleeding. Was attended to within 30-45 minutes, a got checked and a bed. Released after two nights and the doctors and nurses were professional. As a public hospital, i'd recommend.

Long wait time, but cheap. I waited in high fever fully 2.5 hours to see the doc, sitting on uncomfortable chair in the dim waiting area. The male nurse was not polite or patient when I asked about how much longer was the wait. But it was cheap — 180hkd and they gave me a bunch of medication that were all free. Will just go to private hospitals in future tho.

Waiting times could be long but not to the point where it gets annoying. The hospital is very big and modern with good public transport but no mtr however there are routes that bring you to the nearest station. (HKU station)

Terrible Medical Assistance.(There is no professional Doctor at Paediatrics. Just for 小児科 i believe)My daughter stayed this Hospital.Try to put injection more than 30 times still can not put....Now back to Japan to do, it takes maximum 3 times. No smile, no heart.I would not recommend for foreigners. (Maybe it is normal in Hong Kong)

Incredibly dedicated staff members for leukemia patients, prior, during and after bone marrow transplant. The nurses are hard working, compassionate, always willing to accommodate patients. The oncologists are highly professional, attentionate, willing to answer all questions and to give detailed explanations. I am deeply touched by the beauty of this hospital's indoor environment, just as much as the outdoor one!

Went to check up with the wife, not only am I not allow to sit with her, I got kicked out of the next hall where there's clearly empty seats. There were minimal instructions and staffs are rude. As a husband - you are given the impression that you are not welcomed.Edit:After experiencing the postnatal ward, my opinion have changed. The staffs (nurse and security) on K9 and K6 are a lot friendlier than that of the previous review. The bureaucracy might keep me from visiting, but my wife received some of the best care through her delivery. We are thankful for the heart and care of the staffs.

This is one of the largest hospital in Hong Kong. It has a variety of advanced medical instruments. However, the quality of doctors is very different. There are indeed some senior doctors here. They are very professional. However, there are also some doctors who do not meet the standards. They are not professional. For this reason, medical errors often occurs in society. It leads the loss of lives. Actually, the diagnosis and character of the doctors are very important. They are responsible for the patients. I wish I could give 0 rating to this hospital.Been there since10am in morning as my sis got serious injury at hand during her work.Still at7:30pm;end of patient visiting hrs,surgery hadn’t been operated on her.When inquired,old lady nurse in charge was so furious.She was speaking so loud in English showing her poor English speaking skills as we didn’t know Cantonese.She couldn’t give me exact answer regarding how long to wait for doctor service.Blindly she told us to wait next 24 hrs for further treatment.If they cannot provide quality service then ,why they don’t refer to next hospital?Why the hell was she angry if she cannot speak English well and why is she being employed there as it’s hospital to serve multi racial and multi national patients.She needs to be thrown out ;crazy lady

A truly horrific experience. Had to wait for over an hour just to see a nurse, was told that next time I should take a cab so not to waste the ambulance's time (I could barely breathe and had awful stomach pain in the middle of the night). The staff was rude and unhelpful.

Long wait time at Accident & Emergency room. But it is the same for every government hospital in HK. If not in emergency, really should visit private Doctors.The staff in the wards and clinics are nice and caring.Remember in Government Hospital, we cannot choose which Doctor to follow our case. The hospital looks a little tired and worn. The nurses are old school and try to push fathers out of the delivery room, so a bit of push back is required. The doctors are very competent and most of them western educated, meaning they also understand the needs and different ways of thinking of expats.The care for our child was great and she is growing into a beautiful little person. That being said, don't neglect to do your own homework and stand up for yourself. Generally felt very comfortable with the care provided
