I highly recommend Dr Chan Jan Bond. On top of being an excellent surgeon, he is also a caring and kind doctor. I had been postponing cataract surgery as the thought of having surgery in my eye was daunting. Dr Chan took the time to explain the surgery in detail and cleared all my doubts. A short 2 weeks from then, I had completed cataract surgery on both my eyes and am very happy with my vision. The whole experience had been pleasant and comfortable. I'm so lucky to have found Dr Chan. Many thanks to him and everyone in ISEC who made this journey easy for me.

My mom had an eye infection and went for a checkup by Dr. Kamala. Was a horrible experience. Dr. Kamala was not willing to listen to my mom explain her problems and responded very rudely. My mom did not feel comfortable consulting the doctor.

Highly recommend Dr David Woo from ISEC. My mother has had poor vision for a long time and put off seeing a specialist as she was anxious about hospitals. We finally made an appointment with Dr David after reading the positive reviews here and were not disappointed. Dr David diagnosed my mother with cataract but also early glaucoma which we were unaware of. He took the time to ensure we fully understood both conditions and was very patient with my mother who had a lot of questions. My mother felt very reassured after the initial consultation. She has since had her cataract surgery and is delighted with the results and wishes she had them done earlier!

I strongly DO NOT recommend Dr Wong Jun Shyan. My husband went for his retina detachment surgery, the first operation was not successful, so he did the second operation. My husband had to cancel a trip he booked earlier, so we needed two letters, one for the insurance company and one for the trip cancellation. (He couldn’t fly due to his eye surgery)Since the two letters were similar, we asked if Dr Wong could waive the fee for the second letter. He took a stack of letters and waved in our faces saying " After clinic hours I have to look through all these letters. Do you think I'm a school teacher ?! I'm also NOT Mother Teresa! "We were so shocked and saddened by this so-called specialist's response. We asked if he could waive the fee only for the second letter, not for the medical fee or the first letter (which we already paid in full)! Even if reluctant to waive, he could decline our request politely. He is extremely ill-mannered, uncaring and arrogant.To Dr Wong JS: without teachers you won’t be a doctor today and you are nowhere near Mother Teresa. So stop insulting school teachers and the late Mother Teresa who are so loved and respected by the people.

I highly recommend Dr. David Woo to all Glaucoma patients. He is not only a Glaucoma specialist but he treats all his patients as his personal friends. My dad visited Dr. David Woo about a month ago and when he got back home, he rang me instantly. My dad could not stop telling me how great is Dr. David. Dr. David went extra mile to explain about my dad's Glaucoma condition and the risk of taking up another operation. He is different from the other doctor that my dad has visited. My daughter underwent eye surgery in Dec 2019. The operation was a success (Dr. Choong Yee Fong). Everything is ok except ISEC until today failed to refund my deposit of more than 6k despite the operation was 90% fully paid by our medical insurance right after the operation. When l called ISEC about a week ago regarding my refund, they claimed that they have paid it. Until today, l haven't received a single cent from ISEC. Just called and nobody picked up my call. PLEASE BOYCOTT ISEC TO SAVE U FROM UNNECESSARY PROBLEMS.

My father had an issue with his right eye becoming red almost on a daily basis. I contacted ISEC and my father was seen the next day by Dr. David Woo Wen Wei. Dr Woo did a thorough check and found that my father's blood pressure was high (which was suspected to have caused the red eye). My father took steps to address the blood pressure, and the red eye issue has subsided a lot since. Dr Woo has been highly attentive, professional, and sincere throughout the care and advice he provided. I definitely recommend seeing Dr Woo in ISEC if anyone ever has any issues. I was only in Kuala Lumpur for a few days and had an eye infection. Because of the bad reviews, I almost didn't go to the clinic.The entrance was not easy to find. Be sure to take an ID card with you, as you will need it at the reception and clinic reception.The clinic is relatively large. Everything seems pretty well organized. The waiting room is a bit hectic and run down, but I didn't have to wait long (about 5-10 minutes in total). After a first check I was contacted by Dr. Ronald Arun That received.He spoke great English and quickly recognized the problem. He was patient and explained the diagnosis to me in detail. Afterwards I understood better what happened to my body than when I visited a doctor in Germany.After less than 45 minutes I had a diagnosis, an information sheet and the right medication. It pays my travel insurance anyway, but the whole thing just cost 165 MYR (about 36 €). All of the staff were friendly and helpful.It was also nice that I was called because I had dropped my SIM card holder and I forgot it in the clinic.I can only recommend!

I came here to accompany a friend for her check up. Such terrible customer service!!! The nurse under Dr Michael was rude and curt to my inquiries about my friend’s turn. We waited past an hour of the appointment time, with no one telling us why it was running late. The nurse pretty much told me setting an appointment time was useless, and that a walk-in would have the same results. I wouldnt recommend this place at all.

I could not recommend Dr David Woo highly enough. I arranged for my parents to have their eyes assessed by Dr Woo out of concern of their glaucoma & cataract issues. Dr Alice Goh is a very bad doctor, i can't close my eyes now because of her double eyelid sugery, this stupid doctor didn't even check if you have ptosis before double eyelid surgery, second revision still the same and every revision need to pay RM500++, F you and the clinic, i will give 0 star if i could.

I have been a patient of Dr Ronald Arun Das for several years now. Always calm and confident, and patient when dealing with my endless questions. A big plus is that his consultation fees are at the lower end of the spectrum. Dr Ronald is easily one of the better doctors in ISEC - speaking from experience as i had the misfortune of dealing with another doctor from ISEC who was rude and condescending. The nurses, however, are a different kettle of fish - unprofessional and uninterested. They are tarnishing ISEC's precious brand name instead of playing the supporting role they were hired for. In a nutshell - good doctor, lousy nurses.

I would highly recommend ISEC for anyone seeking specialist eye surgery - the service quality far exceeds any experience you'd get at most medium-priced private medical centres.Having called ahead to check on processes and procedures (aiming to claim on medical insurance), I was glad the response was very informative & well complemented what I'd found on the ISEC website plus relevant updates from my insurer.Though I was randomly assigned Dr Chan Jan Bond as a walk-in at registration, nurse Christine took me under her wing for all subsequent sessions - right through to follow-ups after both eyes had cataracts removed.The surgeries were relatively comforting to undergo as Dr Chan kept a running commentary of what was taking place - and a nurse even held my hand to calm my nerves when I had a panic attack as eyelid clamps were put into place. Dr Chan was very forthcoming with answers to every question I had, never mind how insignificant, even showing me videos of how the actual surgical procedure is conducted when I asked.This human compassion and readiness to accommodate patients does make all the difference - which is why I highly recommend ISEC.

I work in the UK and had been diagnosed with bilateral cataracts. I was told I had to wait approximately 2 years to get them done there. I therefore decided to do the next best thing. Return to the country of my birth and get it done. Needless to say as I am an anesthetist myself I asked my friends and I was recommended to see Dr Chan Jan Bond One could never meet a nicer young surgeon, so down to earth, charming, smart and most professional. He explained the procedure and to cut a long story I had both eyes fixed within a week under local anesthesia. It was pain free and my vision is not perfect. I am well impressed and take my hats off to all the people that worked with Dr Chan. I had a VERY bad experience at iSEC. I took the gamble to do my cataract operation there (with Dr. Wong JS - the CEO) despite hearing the horror story from a friend in Seremban - thinking its an isolated case. I REGRETTED my decision. My eye was not much better than before the operations (compared to my wife who did it in VISTA Dr. Aloysius). However the most disappointing part is the post operation feedback which the ophthalmologist Dr. Wong brushed aside my genuine feedback. He was defensive, arrogant, rude, impatient & raised his voice loudly.... insisting at least "you can see with your eye", he suggested that I do another corrective cornea operation, he hurried me saying he had other patients... very uncaring & business like.Don't risk your precious eyes at the hands of Dr. Wong JS & the agony of poor management of ISEC.

Firstly, let's get this straight, there is nothing International about these Eye Specialists. They are a group of talented Malaysian Doctors who have excelled in Ophthalmology. Visiting them a decade ago, they seemed eager to provide a genuine service. However, somewhere along their timeline, they lost the plot. Condescending hard selling that is reminisce of a dodgy salesman trying to reach his sales quota is not what you want to see from your eye surgeon. At any given day, you will see throngs of people on the floor, queues at the payment counter, that would make the late Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong proud. But it's not a casino it’s a supposed total eye care centre , one is visiting. Best part is, they don't care about service quality or genuine pricing because they seem to have struck a gold mine through Indonesian patients whose nationality is given away, by the way they say "doktooor" , "check pauvver" etc as well as the signboard saying they are accepting some Indonesian Insurance company on their panel. Only go there for a second opinion and do not keep them as your sole option for eye care because all they care about is profits.

Worst eye specialist ever!! Do not go to ISEC Mid Valley. I had chronic dry eyes condition but I was there waiting for 1 hr+ but only get to see the doctor 5 mins, wait for another 1 hr+ to get my "medicine". The only words I remember getting from the unprofessional doctor was "VERY DRY, BUT I FORESEE IT WILL GET BETTER." I even asked how to feel better with it as it affected my daily life but he did not care about it. He didn't advise me how to improve it with nutrition my diet, just telling me take fish oil and eyes drops. I did all the research my own throughout the one year and did not seek 2nd opinion from other eye specialist due to the worst service and disappointment I've gotten. Wasted my RM500 and precious time. Now that my dry eyes condition persists and so lucky that I finally trust another professional eye specialist again after 1 year. I can tell the difference between hell in ISEC and heaven in the eye specialist I'm currently seeing!

Never go there for treatment, they will ask u to do unnecessary surgery and do not take responsibility afterwards and nightmares begins. Once the surgery fail, the only thing u will hear from the doctor is that the failure cuz by ur own physical issue. U need to pay a higher price to do the revision surgery. I had my cataract surgery done by Dr Chan Jan Bond recently. He comes across as very friendly. Most importantly, he had a lot of patience. You will have everything under one roof, from consultation to surgery. To me, this place is a bit pricey, but you pay what you get. Their service is really good and you can see people from all over coming to seek medical advice. Be prepared to wait at least one and the half hour minimum as the place is crowded, every single day! It took us almost 3 hours yesterday to get the eye check, doctor consultation, scanning, procedure consultation then blood pressure and glucose test. At every station, there will be Q. Therefore, eat before you come over.

If you're considering LASIK at ISEC, just skip this eye centre and do your research (Google for "lowyat lasik", learned a lot from there). ISEC doctor kept telling me that Lasik is a personal choice and that I'm a suitable candidate, and kept asking "so what else you want to know?". He did not even explain the results of my Lasik pre-assessment tests. Took the lowyat contributors' advice and went to consult with Dr. Ainur at Ara Damansara Medical Centre instead, who is so much more professional.

Just came with my 7yo son on a saturday and the waiting time is a bit long. We set appointment prior to coming but still first come first serve basis. We went to see Dr. Choong who is a Paediatric Ophthalmologist who explained really well on my son’s check up. If you want to use insurance you have to give it upon registration, else you pay by cash or card. Suggest to come on weekdays. Overall will recommend Dr. Choong who is friendly and apologetic for the long wait.

Went to see one eye specialist, was charged RM 483 for consultation. Exorbitant. Worst still and beware of the hidden untold add-on. For a cataract and shortsightedness correction, an initial RM 5k will balloon up to RM 10k. That is for one side of my eyes . And this heartless doctor, the CEO, has no time for a question or 2. Unprofessional doctor admits making mistakes and told you everyone made mistakes (because both my eyes look horribly wrong and awkward) Dr Kamala Devi was too arrogant to even admits it until I have to show before and after which was too obvious. I was refered to her by those untrained front desk consultants, and never trust them. For a refixing surgery, you need to pay to get another doctor from the same centre. Ridiculous! Twice surgeries done and problem not solved. First surgery was even worst and horrible. Will you go for third surgery with the same doctor?! I regret walking in to the center in the first place.

The best experience I've ever had when it comes to see a doctor.Generally, all the staffs in ISEC were good and professional. Dr. Choong was patient enough to explain the problem of my eyes, and prescribed the right medicines for me. He smiled all the time and was not arrogant at all (even though I asked a lot of questions). The pharmacist was good as well, she explained to me how to use the eye drops in details. I saw a lot of reviews saying that the waiting time was very long. This did not happen to me. I made an appointment earlier at 11.40pm, and I was called to see the doctor on time.ISEC have a very good system, where you'll have to register at Section 1, then you'll be called to have a small test on your eyes at Section 2, then you have to wait to see the doctor. After that, you can scan your bar code, wait to pay at the cashier and take the medicines prescribed by the doctor. Lastly, you'll have to return to Section 1 to book for your next appointment (if you have to). The whole process took me no more than 40 mins.I do agree that it is quite pricey, but it's worth it. Will definitely recommend Dr. Choong in ISEC to anyone who needs a professional eye specialist for their eyesight problems.

My mother flew in to KL to meet me and she was on some eye medication from her penang eye doctor but has not improved. Her right eye was reddish and teary. So, naturally, i brought her to ISEC to see a doctor for a 2nd opinion. I was referred to Dr. Ronald Arun Das, who then said what she had was not allergies but conjunctivitis. So he gave her new meds and asked her to discard the ones from Penang. This was on Monday (4/12/17). However, in the course of one day, my mum;s eye got worse and her eye lid was swollen! So on Wednesday morning (6/12/17) we went to see the same doctor. He said that she was allergic to the medication he gave her on Monday! He did not apologise or say anything out of politeness, or explain that yes there was such a risk, he just told to discard those and prescribed new ones.On Thursday morning, my mum's eye got even more worse, her lid was almost closing, pink and swollen and full of mucus.She decided to return to Penang to see her eye doctor again in ISEC Penang. The doctor diagnosed her as having pseudomembranous conjunctivitis and said there was a layer of membrane that was stuck underneath her eye lid! I AM VERY FURIOUS BECAUSE THIS COULD HAVE BEEN DETECTED ATLEAST ON WEDNESDAY! The interval of my bringing my mum to ISEC was just merely 2 days apart (Mon and Wed). I had brought my mother who had cataract in both eyes with reduced vision about 2 months ago to see Dr Ronald after being referred by a friend. My mother was very comfortable with this caring doctor from the onset. He speaks with a gentle tone and is very knowledgeable and confident. He is very experienced and was able to trouble shoot our problems and see to my mom's queries reassuringly. Recently I had cataract surgery at ISEC. I am very happy with the service and doctor at ISEC. Like most first time cataract patients, in the beginning I did have a lot of concerns regarding how the surgery is conducted and whether mine can be successful. Since I totally lost vision on my right eye due to cataract, I decided to go ahead with cataract surgery. First thing is to find a doctor with good experience of cataract surgery. After searching on internet I found several places where cataract surgery can be conducted, I finally selected ISEC because of convenience and selected Dr. Choong because of his reputation.I am happy that I selected a good doctor. He is nice and very skillful. Actually all the staff at ISEC I met were nice and professional. Eventually I had surgery on both eyes. Prior to surgery, I was wearing progressive eyeglasses. To eliminate eyeglasses postsurgery, I chose monovision option. Dr. Choong selected right IOLs for me. After surgery, my right eye can see objects clearly from about 1m to far distance; my left eye can read computer and mobile phone clearly at about half meter distance. Although it is monovision, I do not really feel it unless I cover up one eye to realize one eye is clear while the other is not.

I flew in from Texas to have cataract surgery done with Dr. Lim while I was here visiting family. I am so impressed with not only Dr. Lim and his knowledge and honest recommendations, but also his staff and the ISEC facilities.
