I decided on having weight loss surgery after many years of being obese and set about finding a clinic abroad. I sent an email to the contact at Hisar Intercontinental Hospital, who immediately responded by email. I gave my mobile number and after that all our communication was via Whatsapp.Emin was extremely helpful and knowledgeable regarding the different surgeries available and I decided to go ahead with a gastric sleeve. This surgery is less invasive as it is conducted by laparoscopy as opposed to being "opened up."Once my flight was booked Emin took care of everything else. I was met at the airport and taken by taxi to the Mercure hotel in Umraniye, Istanbul which was approximately 4 minutes walk from the hospital.The following morning I embarked on a series of tests and was surprised how thorough they were. I had everything from blood tests, a breathing test, x-ray, scan, endocardiogram, seeing a dietician and more. I was introduced to my consultant, Dr Omer Avlanmis and in the afternoon I had my surgery.At no time was I afraid as I had done my research and every question I asked was answered thoroughly. The hospital also provided an interpreter. The aftercare was excellent. I was up and about the same day and was encouraged to walk regularly. Before discharge I was given Dr Omer's contact details and that of the dietician as there will be monthly contact for a progress report. The whole bariatric team were wonderful.Based on my experience I would highly recommend

I was there few weeks ago, Dr Omer was brilliant Kemal and Salam my god they were very helpful. The hospital is clean and the type or standard of care they gave me is of a private hospital in western world. When you make arrangements with Kemal they stick to them to the tee, from airport transportation to the hotel accommodation. All in all it is a very good hospital, with good facilities for example Wi-fi, private room with its private bathroom with a shower. I'll recommend this hospital any day.

Hisar intercontinental hospital was amazing best hospital in Istanbul the staff ,The Dr' who did my operation Dr Omer. everyone was professional special thanks to kemal who because of him I travel to Turkey and did my surgery. i can't thank him enough. I was picked up from the airport to mercure hotel the hotel had great welcoming staff. in the morning I had to walk for 2 minutes to the hospital it was very close to the hotel, the hospital looked like a 5* hotel i had my family with me i got king suite food was good service again was awesome i met kemal at the lobby who explained everything to me step by step even when he finished work i could text him and straight away he would reply back to me i don't know what more to say except I'm thankful and happy with the service I received from Hisar intercontinental hospital very outstanding 👏 👌

I came to the hospital early before my appointment, hesitantly during the covid period. Although I was waiting at the dermatology counter, they took the patient who had an appointment after me in before me (at my appointment time)! When I went and asked, they said they made a mistake. If I do not ask, there is no explanation or anything! During the Covid period, I had to spend more time in your hospital due to your mistake. I definitely do not intend to come again!

We applied to Professor Mustafa Sağlam Bey, one of the hospital doctors, with the complaint of heart disease, and we were definitely not satisfied with the interest and the answers we could not get to our questions. Not diagnosed. We had to apply to a different hospital. He wrote heart medication, although he did not make a diagnosis. In general, we were not satisfied with the hospital and the doctor. I would not recommend an expensive and unrelated hospital.

So it's been a week since I had my Vsg surgery here and let me just say, it was the best experience ever. First and foremost, I want to thank Kemal soooo much for all he did for me. He was literally there for me from the first day I sent an email to the hospital, he answered all my questions, did all documentations and reservations for me, followed me to all my pre op examinations and just about anything I needed. He truly was godsent. He may not have been my surgeon, but he sure was as important to me. Secondly, I would love to thank my surgeon, my dietician and the nurses (I'm seriously not joking when I said everybody was VERY friendly and accommodating). The hospital environment was lovely and I (and my plus 1) were very much taken care of from the moment we were picked from the airport to the moment we were dropped at the airport. I will so HIGHLY recommend HISAR INTERCONTINENTAL HOSPITAL to anyone, anyday and anytime. Truly, they are the best.

This is by far the best hospital I have been in, at the very least the are extremely thorough, and the medical staff is always friendly and extremely professional. I checked in for pneumonia, and if it wasn’t for their thoroughness in treatment I would be living with a time bomb that I didn’t know about. I have no problem recommending this hospital to any family or friends. If I could give them 10 stars, I would.

Thanks to our cardiology doctor Flora Özkalaycı, we hospitalized Hisar intercontinental due to a heart attack with an urgent decision after the examination in the morning on 21.07.2020. Despite being late, smiling, ready to help ... we were taken to our room with the staff. It was a very subtle thought that we were asked if we want to eat right away. Our doctor was constantly interested in the morning and before and after angio and asked for his sake and stated that he would do his best and should never be anxious to my mother. After the angiography, the staff of the hospital were very clean and meticulously helpful. We thank them all. The nurses were very patient and attentive and the medication was followed very well.We thank Öznur nurse. It was perfect that they asked about our needs every time they came into the room and fulfilled what we wanted. My mother got free service with heart disease due to her age. A service that can never be found elsewhere, I thank you for everything and wish you healthy days.

When I landed in Istanbul I felt nervous and excited at the same time. However I was made to feel at ease and was picked up from the airport straight to the hospital. Translators like Salaam provided an outsandind service and was available 24 hours a day as she also assisted me in touring the city as well. Without her support and expertise I would have struggled here in Istanbul. On the day of the surgery, Prof Dr Tayfun was very accommodating and clear in terms of what could be really acheived with a deviated septum. After the surgery, the care and professionalism was phenomenal and managed to recover within 5-7 days.All in all, I would rate Hisar Hospital 5 out of 5 and I would recommend anyone who wants to undergo rhinoplasty or septoplasty to consider Professor Dr Tayfun.

I had a septorhinoplasty + turbinate reduction as well a gynecomastia removal at this hospital. Overall it was a good experience with transport etc arranged and the surgeons were kind, knowledgeable and spoke decent English. I had very good guidelines for the post operative period which went well and the scars have healed very nicely. The international patient unit is also very helpful. The hospital is well equipped and rooms are clean and tidy and nurse staff quite friendly. I would recommend to get proper quote including for further added procedures that might be needed for the surgery beforehand. For example for a gynecomastia removal, the surgeon might ask to also perform a minimal liposuction.

Travelled over to the Hisar Intercontinental this week to undergo a FUE hair transplant procedure, and recommend the place to anybody thinking about doing this themselves.The package includes the procedure itself which (in my case, having approx 5000 follicles transplanted from the back to the top of my head), all aftercare shampoos and lotions, 3x2 hours treatment in a hyperbaric chamber (post treatment) to speed up healing, also included in the price is a suite for 3 nights in a excellent Mercure hotel located 2 minutes walk from the hospital, PLUS your transfers to and from Istanbul airport, which is about half an hour drive from the hospital.Although the hospital isn't close to the tourist attractions, the recommendation is to not exert yourself at all and have complete rest after the treatment to minimise bruising and swelling, (advice which I followed, and I had none whatsoever noticeable). I slept 2 nights with a swine flu diagnosis. I stayed in a single room. The room was quite spacious. Hygiene was good. Cleaning is done every day. The companion seat can be opened. There is a large LED TV. There is a mini fridge. There is a dryer in the bathroom. They thought up to the sewing kit. Beautiful as comfort. Nurses are friendly and helpful. Food was good. It is a big deficiency that the window of the room is never opened. We could not ventilate. They should take this type of patients into the rooms accordingly. Dr's information and interest was not at the level I expected. If I have a more serious illness, I would consider choosing once more.

I came from abroad and was in that hospital, and believe me, I've never stayed.This hospital does not deserve any star, nurses treat people like dogs. They bring the food and throw it to the far table, even though they can't get up, they don't even help. I had a gastric sleeve performed by Dr Omer Avlanmis. I selected him to do my surgery as it was conversion surgery and he is very experienced and felt confident in his hands. The whole team provided excellent care. The customer care team are excellent. From initial contact even until today 3 weeks after my op I have always had someone to speak to me answer my questions and provide everything I need. The package included transportation from the airport and to and from the hotel, then back to the airport which made a huge difference as I was travelling alone and was unsure of where I was going. There was always someone who could speak English to help me with anything needed at any time of the day or night. The medical care was excellent and the hospital was clean and comfortable. The nurses only understand very basic English words but with the use of google and the translators there was no problem. I had 2 visits from the dietician which helped me understand what was required I have had communication since I’ve been back in the UK to check how I am and will have follow up Skype consultations over the next year following blood tests I have been asked to get. Dr Omer gave me his number and told me to contact him anytime which I couldn’t ever imagine happening in the UK. I would have no hesitation in recommending the experience. The only one thing I could suggest is that a pack is prepared before, telling a patient everything that will happen, what best to bring etc

I would like to start with a positive one, the doctors are wonderful, competent and helpful. I took my 5-year-old daughter to this hospital and she liked Dr. Yavuz Selim Yıldırım the most. The daughter was not at all afraid and even received gifts from this wonderful professional (otolaryngologist)! Thanks him 1000 times!) The biggest plus is that this person is not indifferent, patient, loving his job! Carefully listened and asked questions, he also speaks excellent English. the next ophthalmologist Dr. Omer Kamil Doğan-we also received quality service. Now minus is the only Russian-language translator Yulduz. I have never met such arrogant, capricious, disrespectful people working with patients in Turkey. I explained that she is more than a translator and as I understand it is arrogant. We came from far, paid money and talked respectfully to the last, but how Yulduz threw us before the last procedures (this is tolerable in principle, but they didn’t treat us in any clinic), how she didn’t answer my messages, ignored me when I called- threw up the phone ... not professionally, whatever position you have. I visited this hospital to see the Ophthalmologist because I have Conic Cornea, I was planning to make a cornea transplant surgery as I was advised. However, after I saw the Ophthalmologist, he recommended to use the medical lens which was the correct chose and better decision. The Ophthalmologist was very professional and knowledgeable, he took the time to explain everything very clearly. Would recommend this hospital to all of my friends. Once you call for appointment they said system is down however they will be accepting me to doctor at 11:00. After I reach there they didn't accept me to doctor because system is down🙁 and I ask if doctor is there and free, they said yes. So why you are telling me you can accept me on the phone and why are you not accepting while there is free doctor. I ask what to do. They said they don't know. It's stupid depending only to a software on such a big hospital. And funny and sad thing their customer care is not present and I left my business card to get back a phone call. However no response👎👎Be sure you will be accepted by a doctor before coming to hospital.
