Probably one of the highest profiting-hopeful hospitals in the UAE, RAK Hospital - Ras Al Khaimah, is where my daugther was born and my dad, Dr. S. Gurumadhva Rao, paid the bill on Nov 7/8 2018. A dearth of wealth in this hospital in RAK (Ras Al Khaimah) has led to the resident psychiatrist, who on my father's advice, put me on almost-free medication and after an arranged marriage and child, took me off medication in Dec 2019. The same resident psychiatrist, oversaw 4 people, including 1 in full police uniform (who mentioned this psychiatrist in question), come into my apartment on Aug 19 2020, 1 hr before my Premium Digital Class, and give me 2 injections that I don't know the contents of, skillfully refusing to show hosiptal IDs. A connection of Faith prevented the male nurse(s) from insisting on staying in my apartment (a 3BHK space I rented 10 min away from my parents, mother-in-law, wife and daughter in early June 2020, for my work and living alone). Key words from the officer were - community, call-your-family. This officer gave me his phone number before he left and called me 5 times on the same day, one call during the afternoon nap (after my online class on the same day) due to sedation and mentioned the name of RAK hospital's psychiatrist on the 5th call in the night. I blocked his number after that and left the rented apartment (in Ras Al Khaimah) the next morning. If there was a negative star i would have Given that instead. The hospital looks like a very good 5 star hotel but unfortunately their service is worst. I have been here couple of times and had bad experience.Today was worst of all. I came in emergency due to severe pain in stomach around 1.15-1.30pm . The doctor saw me after half an hour. Dr Nadal is the laziest and most irresponsible doctor i have ever seen . I was made to wait till 5 pm after the checkup until it is approved by insurance. I had to roam around check each department if the insurance is approved. I followed up on their behalf.I was still in pain and they dint bother giving me a single pain killer. Although i had no symptoms of appendicitis but the doctor concluded appendicitis and confirmed for surgery. Are we serious?This is just one experience. I have had even worst experiences in past.

Good and professional doctors,but very poor time management with appointments.Every single time I come the wait takes one hour.To make X-ray in dentistry department takes more than one hour from your time of appointment with a queue of two people.Looks like one X-RAY technician is working for the whole hospital and running between departments.

The reception process is the worst I have ever seen. There are more number of staff than patients but they are lazy. To receive a medical report to my email address, I had to wait hours and hours despite i called them two times. They say, we will send it but when???????. Some staff are very rude.

I heard and read many negative reviews from experienced people.Really what blame them.Staff lack a lot of communication skills.And the money in general and become a cornerstone for dealing with patientsPay or check.The phenomenon that you get only in the underdeveloped private hospitals.I wanted to check Corona only to enter the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.I had no symptoms.Unfortunately, I went to Rak Hospital.And nobody is there to explain to you how to sort patients.Just pay and wait for your turn and check and see and you do not know anything.On the payment counter, I asked someone to explain what was their mechanism and system in dealing with the Corona crisis before I paid.A Somali employee asked to wait in line only to ask questions.Even an employee has not known himself and his job and can be a cleaner.People are lost and have questions and stand in the sun.And they are sitting in the cooled camper.As if you were in a disaster state.Without exaggeration, even the sheep market has a better system.I have read and heard many negative comments and stories about RAK Hospital.It lacks a lot to be called hospital, and staff there to be health care provider.I went there just to test for corona to enter Abu Dhabi.I had no fever or other problems.The first thing they asked for is MONEY. No respect of appointment timing, staff is always misleading. I would recommend this hospital if you have cough and fever only, never go with this hospital for other diseases, better look for a specialized hospitals specially for gynacology, it's completely a mess.

Dreadful place. Tourists in RAK arrived with a child with fever. After an initial check they asked us if we live in UAE and we denied but said we are privately insured. They send us away saying they only treat residents even if you pay cash. First you should always help, second they could have asked at arrival and not let us wait first

Physiology dept is a joke! Good thing it’s covered by insurance. They put electrodes, leave them on for 20 mins ,they leave u in the room alone, they come back, maybe do 5 min massage or ultrasound and you’re on your way. It’s like a factory outlet. Shameful!

Best Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah.. The doctors, nursing staff and the management surely keeping it upto the mark. I was in the hospital for a small surgery couple of days back, the way staff and doctor took care of me was super amazing. Thanks to Dr. Madhusudan, for taking special care and a successful surgery. Very bad experience with Rak hospital. I took may mother for her chest checkup and caugh. The doctor on duty Mr. Dr Vikram have asked to have a few tests. Which I have did and took all the test results to Dr. Vikram for further prescription or atleast give a feedback on the test results. But unfortunately I was very disappointed with his attitude. He checked the result and not given any feed back on it and when I ask him to prescribe me with some medicine, he said she is okay I can't prescriped you. Atleast the doctor can give us a positive feedback on the test result if their is no chest problem. But their is chest issues with her that's why I took my mother to Rak hospital.

RAK Hospital is a star rated Swiss-led hospital with lots of facilities and next-gen diagnostic tools.Unfortunately, the hospital's staffs are poorly trained to treat the patients. One has to wait hour long to get in doctor's room. Most of nurse staffs have discriminating kind of approach to blue collar patients.Emergency cabin is vacated with roughly talking staffs.The hospital is having a strong CEO and he must address this kind of issues as well.

In emergency there is delay to submit the papers to insurance, last time i wait 5 hours to submit for insurance approval, employee was smoking and keep saying that he submitted and wait insurance reply, when i call the insurance i found that they did not get any request and when i came back to hospital i found my papers still on employee desk. I have been using this hospital for the last 10 years for myself and my family and generally I like it and the services are great EXCEPT dental! their doctors must be the worst doctors ever!!! One doctor made tooth extraction for me and did not give any medication and after 2 days I got huge inflammation and I went back to him and he still said no need for any medicine and that it will go away in few days but then I suffered for the next 2 weeks with continuous bleeding and inflammation and unbearable pain.

Worst hospital ever. Pauline Gynecologist clinic that she calls herself a "Doctor" was very very rude to us with her attitude and with the 2 minutes treatment session time. She didn't answer our questions that she don't have the time to explain. She made the sonar test in less than minute and didnt say a word about the baby. It's ridiculously Unbearable. She has rude responses and she don't know anything about treatment or patient care.THE Hospital didn't do anything about that and the management didn't even apologized to us. Not recommended at all. Cardiology, Neurology and Diabetes departments are fine. It was for my friend and according to him he was happy under those departments I mentioned.They are considered to be a 5 star facilitated hospital which means a luxury hospital. If you don't have a premium Insurance card then I won't recommend here mainly because it's really expensive. That's where the star lost.They have all the premium facilities including complementary arabic coffee, Water etc. Live Piano like in a luxury hotel lobby. Costa cafe attached to the lobby.There are couple of negative reviews I noticed. But personally I don't have such experience. Its completely department based. So I suggest you have small research on that particular department you wish to go.

My wife just gave birth Friday the 19th and our experience with Rak Hospital was absolutely wonderful. Upon arrival at the emergency they were professional and admitted my wife immediately to the delivery room where we were treated wonderfully by a great staff of doctors and nurses. Everyone was so kind and supportive during a long delivery. We were them given a private room which was clearly 5 star treatment with wonderful nurses and the food choices were great and even an extra roll away bed was brought in for my sister in-law. During the billing process the billing department was kind and patient and very helpful in giving me a very fair price and helpful in contacting my insurance company and communicating with them. My insurance is actually not that great in my opinion and is out of network with RAK hospital but they were able to submit the billing and get a guarantee of payment from my insurance company without much hassle. They also helped me with my daughter birth certificate by doing everything on line and paying for it as offered in the package they gave us. The office to collect the birth certificate was only a couple of minutes down the road at the office of preventive medicine and they were also quick in the process and I was able to walk away with the stamped and signed birth certificate in less than 20 minutes. This is my 5th child and by far this was the best service I have ever received. I was only out of pocket less than 1,000 aed for everything and the serv

I got to meet Dr. Amal (endocrinologist), Dr. Preethi, (dermatologist), Dr. Anup (general surgeon), & Dr. Imtiyaz (general surgeon) and I found them all EXCELLENT. And about the nurses, they all are so sweet. Worst experience was in the emergency department where it was too crowded and I had to wait for so long, otherwise the doctor there did a great job and he managed the case well.

Financial gain before Patient care! be very careful with their diagnosis & their sheer willingness to over state the urgency. Both my wife & i have had very unprofessional care at this hospital. I agree with most of the posts that the Nurses are well below the level needed. The first thing they always ask for is your insurance card so they can run up a bill. Very agressive in pushing for procedures & putting in for over night stays for very minor 30-40 min outpatient cases.Great building & facility, but unfortunate that the medical professionals let it all down..... If i could i would not even give it a star rating. Obstetrics & Gynecology is a particular worry for any woman thinking of using this hospital. For your own sake get second opinions if you do go here.This is a for profit hospital & your care comes far behind that. We have since questioned a certain employed person "Pauline" (not correct to use the word Doctor & her name in the same sentence) in the Gynecology department as to her resoning for carrying out a medical procedure on my wife in a fully functioning OR under full GA, with an 11 hour stay in the hospital. The WHO state that the procedure is carried out using local anesthesia & takes 5-10 mins. She operated for 45 mins & kept my wife under GA for 55 mins.... Had a worst experience in RAK hospital emergency. I rush to hospital for my 1 year old son who fell down and badly hit on ground.He was bleeding from nose. Hospital staff 1st ask me to wait and after 10 to 15 min a Dr. Came and ask we will take Xray. Then i waited for xray about 20 min later i ask staff why you are not taking HE replied sir if you want to do quickly you have to submit AED 1500 now or else wait for insurance approval. After another 20 min wait they took xray and again a long wait started and nobody came to attend my son. I rush to Dr. Room and begged him to treat my son and Dr. Replied I have heart attack patient and other serious patients as well i cant leave them for your son. These are the words a father never wanted to listen any how i waited Dr. Didnt come to check. After 20 min a went to Dr. Room and force him to check my son and he checked and then prescribe a treatment. It took me around 2 hrs to get emergency treatment...

So glad to see so many people honestly reflecting on the appalling and corrupt health service that RAK Hospital actually provides. My wife and I had horrendous experiences as patients here several years ago; incompetent doctors, medical errors made galore, which the CEO then tried to cover up and later blatantly lied and denied had ever occurred or been discussed; not only did we lose one baby as a result of the malpractice of RAK Hospital, we nearly lost two! Don't waste your time, effort or money on this shambolic, poorly managed and utterly disgraceful establishment. We had a far better experience at Saqr Hospital when we turned to them for urgent medical help and support - they were significantly more professional, genuinely concerned for my wife's and our unborn baby's welfare and provided a true first class service. Cosmetic pleasantries are nothing when compared to loved ones lives and wellbeing. RAK Hospital is primarily interested in your money and welcoming you with plush, luxurious looking furniture. Once they have successfully got you through their doors your health is already in jeopardy. Avoid this place at all costs.

I knew about Dr Joshi, Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon, and decided to have my mother to RAK hospital to perform a laser assisted surgery on the knee. I honestly rate this hospital at 3.5/5. Cleanness/quietness/helpfulness are all very good everywhere I roamed around the hospital. Dr Joshi was very kind, humble, experienced and confident. However, the nurses and staff are not experienced enough - yes they’re kind but health care is something else. They always ask about the pain score (0, 1-4, 4-6, 7-10) to give necessary medication - well sometimes you really don’t know which category you are at so they should determine sometimes. Also, it’s very very strange that a hospital in an Arabic country they don’t speak Arabic (except some Indians who know some Arabic) with the patients! They barely understand the situations sometimes with common words (yes, no, pain, ahhh etc). I had to be with my mother all the time (5 days) to bridge the communication gap and ease understanding. Also, all the hospital staff ask you the same questions every time every day (what’s the problem, what’s the pain score, what have they done for you recently, what food you want, what medication they gave you, etc) - basically, organization has to be improved, anybody entering the patient room should know at least the basics and current status. I once experienced a reckless nurse pushing an ice bag on the surgeon’ed knee and caused sever pain!! Other than these drawbacks, the hospital is good going towards v

I would not recommend this hospital for an Emergency . They do not know what an emergency case is. Even if you are gonna lose your life, they will ask you to wait until you are registered and then wait again until your turn comes to see the doc. I've had more than 3 bad experiences with the emergency section especially after 9pm. Emergency staff are dis-courteous. All you can see is the staff busy on their computers typing away and not even looking or trying to answer your queries.No greeting no one care.My last experience it was for my boy when he had stomach pain around 11:30 pm,We went there no one even look at us, I was standing for more than 5 mint in the reception desk.in the end I asked one person behind the desk there ,no one here to help? This was my local hospital and after some treatment and many visits this became a place I could not trust. I had gone through 3 doctors had taken many steroids, had CT scans and X-rays, underwent a general anesthetic for a biopsy and the hospital gave an incorrect result. To add all questions had not be clarified by the anesthesiologist and doctors while lying in the theatre ready for general anesthetic. Incorrect because I went for a second and third opinion in Dubai hospitals only to realise their results meant nothing and the treatment I should have had was eventually given 6 months after my first symptoms in a Dubai hospital. I even spoke with the CEO of RAK hospital only to find he had no real interest. Further to add I had requested a test from this hospital while on second opinions from a Dubai hospital. The test according to RAK hospital was positive, when getting the same test in the Dubai hospital it was negative and explained as to why. Be extremely cautious, always get a second opinion, Staff do not communicate well at all, especially when referring to other doctors. In it for the money! THIS PLACE ALMOST COST ME MY LIFE!!!

RAK Hospital is one of the best hospitals in Ras Al Khaimah. It has the latest technology and equipments. Recently I had an operation with Doctor Anup, he did a very good job and I'm very grateful for him. We do have sometimes problems in pharmacy and delays of appointments. Specially in gynecology department when doctor has to leave for emergency deliveries and we have no idea how long we have to wait. Also special thanks to Doctor Vishal, hi is very attentive to little patients. One of the best services it's a Guest Relations specially Feruza and Yana, they are always there to help and solve out any kind of problems. Their multilingual skills help a lot and they are "Doctors of the soul". The valet service is very comfortable.Hopefully RAK Hospital will get more prosperous and will get more professional doctors.
