Cataract surgery for us is a refractive surgery and we use topic and multifocal intraocular lenses if appropriate. Sometimes, small refractive surgery on the cornea maximise the results of cataract surgery so patients are less dependent on glasses

- Refractive surgery: We use the latest and most advanced lasers to perform corneal laser refractive surgery to correct myopia (shortsightedness), hyperopia (longsightedness), and astigmatism (oval shape of the cornea). If cornea is not suitable then lens refractive surgery is advised whether putting additional lens impact in the eye or replacing the natural lens with new refractive lens (refractive lens exchange). In older patients we prefer non-corneal refractive surgery
