Worldwide Dental and Cosmetic Surgery Hospital

Dr. Hung & Associates Dental Center (now Worldwide Dental & Cosmetic Surgery Hospital) was established by Dr. Do Dinh Hung, DDS.PhD in 1994 and is the first dental clinic in Ho Chi Minh City that follows the model of a US dental clinic.

We are also proud to be the first dental clinic in Vietnam that was approved by Vietnam Ministry of Health to be upgraded to a dental & cosmetic surgery hospital, as of February 2018, providing 1208 different dental, maxillofacial surgery, cosmetic surgery and dermatology services.

In September 1994, Dr. Hung came to the US for the first time to attend a Master program in dentistry via an invitation from University of Houston – Texas and had a chance to visits various dental clinics in the US. During his time in the US, Dr. Hung knew his mission would be “Providing Perfection” in dental services by bringing international care standards to Vietnam. He also realized his vision is to put Vietnam Dentistry on the map, competing with well-known dental clinics in developed countries.

After returning to Vietnam, Dr. Do Dinh Hung established the first dental clinic in Vietnam that follows the model of a US dental clinic. Together with his associates, he set out to realize his new found mission and vision.

In 2014, Dr. Hung & Associates Dental Center became the only dental clinic in Vietnam that was rated 5 star on WhatClinic. Since then, we have consistently maintained this 5 star rating, achieving 99% success rate in all of our dental treatment and 95% patient satisfaction rating. As of 2017, we have served customers from 46 out of 63 Vietnam cities/provinces and international customers from 49 different countries in the world.

In early 2017, together with a team of plastic surgeons and dermatologists who share similar vision, Dr. Hung has upgraded Dr. Hung & Associates Dental Center to Worldwide Dental & Cosmetic Surgery Hospital. We have further invested in our infrastructure, increased our number of professionals and followed strict hospital standards to ensure we can provide the perfect care to our customers.

After a year of building and being inspected by Ministry of Health, on June 2, 2018 Worldwide Dental & Cosmetic Surgery Hospital was officially granted a license to operate by Ministry of Health and to provide 781 different services related to dental, maxillofacial surgery, cosmetic surgery and dermatology.

DO DINH HUNG, DDS, PHD – FOUNDER

Do Dinh Hung DDS.PhD first studied a Bachelor of Chemistry at Saigon University of Science in 1971 and then at Saigon Dental Medicine University in 1973, graduating in 1979.  

After graduation, Dr. Hung worked at Minh Hai Province’s Hospital for 10 years, specializing in dentistry and odonto-maxillofacial surgery. As head of the Odonto-Maxillofacial Surgery Department at this hospital, Dr Hung has performed thousands of odonto-maxillofacial-related surgeries, including pathologies, maxillofacial malformations and trauma for patients at Bac Lieu and Southwestern Provinces.

Dr. Hung attended the post graduate Master’s program in General Dentistry with a concentration in Prosthodontics at University o Houston, Texas, in the US from 1994 to 1999.

Since the 2000s, Dr. Hung was the Head of the Prosthodontics Department, then Vice President at the National Hospital of Odonto–Stomatology in HCMC-Ministry of Health. At this hospital Dr. Hung has treated many government leaders such as the late Communist party General Secretary Nguyen Van Linh, the former Communist party General Secretary Le Kha Phieu, the former Prime Minister Phan Van Khai, the Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, as well as many other officials.

Dr. Hung is one of the first doctors to perform implant placement in Vietnam in 1994. Dr. Hung is particularly specialized in implant placement with the Nobel Biocare implant system, using Nobel Guide software to make the surgical guide template, which is useful for surgeons in implant placement: faster and more accurate when applying the All-on-4® technique by Nobel Biocare for edentulous customers. Dr. Hung is also specialized in Zygomatic implant placement for customers with significant bone loss on the upper jaw, after completing clinical programs from Nobel Biocare & Malo Clinic.

At the same time, Dr Hung has been improving Cosmetic Dentistry, by establishing his own in-house dental laboratory with CAD/CAM technique (computer aided design & manufacturing) and using Digital Smile Design software, to provide our customers with the perfect smile.

Dr. Hung also attended a clinical program related to Prosthodontics for cancer patients at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center at University of Houston, Texas in 2000.

In 2012, Dr. Hung completed his research for The Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Medicine with a thesis related to The Application of Technology Dental Implant, at 108 Institute of Clinical Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Every year, at least 3 times/year, Dr. Hung and his associates attend dental conferences, training, clinical programs locally as well as internationally, in order to keep improving our skills and learning new technique.
