My husband had surgery here, the doctor took good care of it, used social security, the nurses were good, but there were some who couldn't answer. May cause some ear irritation

I woke up with food poising the morning we were to head home on a 30 hour travel time to canada. Went there around 12:00 pm and told them i had to catch a flight out of thailand at 11:00pm i was treated in and out in around 2 hours. The facilities were immaculate one of the best hospitals i have ever visited and service was immediatiate i had an IV in my arm in 10 minutes of arriving they gave me meds for my journey home and i made it home with no problems. Hope i never have to go back but if i did that'ss the only hospital id visit in Phuket! I was told it cost alot to go there from my hotel but i had insurance but when i left the bill was only 6700 Baht around $290CAD which was cheap for the blood work the iv drugs and medication for the trip home!

What you need to know about MRI Scan (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) in Thailand

MRI Scan (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is a non-invasive medical procedure that does not require surgery. This type of Diagnostic Imaging procedure / treatment is relatively affordable, especially in Thailand. Mainly because the skill set and experience required by the specialist doesn't need to be as extensive as it may be for other procedures. For MRI Scan (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), medical records, reports or any supporting documents may be required for the specialist to assess prior to the treatment.

Given the non-invasive nature of MRI Scan (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), there is no downtime, so you won't need to consider your recovery and aftercare much. However, if a consultation leads on to surgery, then you should expect to follow that with an extended period of rest.

Depending on how many sessions or follow ups you require, you can expect to leave Thailand immediately after. In most cases, the success of the outcome can be judged by yourself.

Whilst the information presented here has been accurately sourced and verified by a medical professional for its accuracy, it is still advised to consult with your doctor before pursuing a medical treatment at one of the listed medical providers. This content was last updated on 08/09/2020.
