Dr. Michael Schwartz specializes in state-of-the-art cosmetic surgery of the face, including plastic surgery of the face and neck, eyelids, nose, and ears. He performs liposculpture of the face and body and has extensive experience with all fillers including autologous fat, semi-permanent Radiesse®, and JUVÉDERM® Injectable Gel/Restylane®.
Dr. Schwartz has undergone extensive training as a cosmetic plastic surgeon. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry in 1978 from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, he went on to earn his M.D. in 1982 from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago. He then completed two years of internal medicine training at the LAC/USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, followed by five years of training in head and neck surgery at the University of Southern California, and an additional one year of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery training at the University of Illinois. Dr. Schwartz studied the tumescent technique of liposuction and liposculpture in the 1990's and was one of the first in the Los Angeles area to incorporate laser technology with the SmartLipo™ laser.
Dr. Schwartz has the distinction of being a clinical assistant professor of facial plastic surgery at the University of Southern California, where he now passes his knowledge along to its residents.
