About Spain

Spain is the fourth-largest country on the European continent and It has the third-largest number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, which makes it an interesting destination for tourists. In recent years, Spain has welcomed thousands of medical tourists who travel for Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery. Most of these medical tourists are from the UK. Popular Cities and Regions

Spain is known for its dynamic cities and influential art. The most popular tourist destination in the country is Barcelona, which offers a plethora of attractive architecture, vibrant nightlife, unique food, and beautiful beaches. Here, people can visit the Picasso Museum, admire Gaudi’s architecture, and enjoy the beaches. The capital of Spain, Madrid, is filled with modern infrastructure as well as historic neighborhoods. Transport

Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas and Barcelona El Prat Airport are the main international airport in Spain. Both airports serve international and domestic flights. Budget airlines are available in both airports for tourists who are looking for an affordable option to travel around Spain. Tourists can also get around the country by train – high-speed train (AVE) or regular service train (Talgo). To get around inside cities, taxis are available. 

Visas

Spain allows citizens of the European Union, Norway, Liechtenstein, Iceland, and Switzerland to enter with their identity cards only. Visa-free entry is granted for citizens of Australia, Canada, Japan, the US, and several other countries. Other nationals need to obtain a visa to enter Spain. Spain is a member of the Schengen Convention

Weather

Weather in Spain is wonderful all year-round. Summer is from June to August with warm and sunny weather. Spring and Autumn tend to be nice as both seasons experience mild temperatures. Winter is cold but the temperatures rarely drop too low. The temperatures usually vary around 4°C to 10°C.

  2. Money & Payments: International tourists can withdraw money from ATMs with relevant symbols on it, such as Visa and MasterCard. Credit cards can be used for most purchases. Tipping is optional.
  3. Local Language: Spanish is the official language and people in major tourist cities can speak good English.
  4. Local Culture and Religion: More than 60% of the population is Catholic, but there are also Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, Pagans, Taoists, and Bahá'ís.
