We had a few negative cycles in another clinic in Ireland, hence we can judge a big difference in terms of professionalism. Our experience with FIV Center was very positive. We found all the staff helpful, reassuring, reliable and friendly. A special mention for Dr. Caballero. He holds a unique combination of highly skilled in fertility knowledge, complimented with a caring personality. We will be forever grateful with them for the joy of our life: our gorgeous daughter.
Only pregnant women seem to be walking around in the clinic!Have fun aside: the team is wonderfully experienced and professional. The facilities are ok.The air conditioning is, I think, in the maintenance. It's a shame I'm too old for sperm donation.
I want to thank the entire team from the doctors to the reception staff for making our dream of parenting possible. We will always be grateful for your professionalism and affection.
Within this center is the consultation of a magnificent dentist, with a cutting-edge technology, not used by other professionals. The lovely deal. The prices very reasonable. He doesn't even have much to match him in Logroño.
After 3 failed NHS cycles, my husband and I researched private IVF clinics in and outside of the UK . Ceram were highly recommended by our previous UK clinic and by a family friend, who had been successful there. At the beginning we made contact with Joanna (the International IVF Patient Coordinator at Ceram), who provided us with an estimate of costs and detailed information of Dr Benitos' qualifications, expertise and specialisms, so that we could check. Speaking to Joanna made us feel confident about the service, she was very open and very happy to answer our questions. Joanna was able to help us arrange an initial consultation with Dr Benito.Having enquired into Dr Benito, we found he is well respected and held in high regard by his piers. We forwarded our IVF patient records to Dr Benito prior to our appointment. It was nice to have a Dr who had fully read and digested our long IVF history. We learnt more in the consultation with Dr Benito, than we had in 6 years at the UK clinic, such as medical conditions in our records, that we were unaware of. He took time to explain and answer questions. This was refreshing as in the UK most of our appointments were taken up by the Dr reading our notes and being reluctant to answer questions. We knew straightaway that Dr Benito was the person we wanted to continue our IVF treatment with, not only was he extremely professional, but empathetic of our situation and we felt he genuinely cared. We were kept fully informed throughout our cycle, which was planned to perfection. From fees and medication to scheduling a suitable timetable to be in Spain. The clinic were always happy to communicate with us by email, fax or phone. After 7 years of dreaming this day would happen, our baby girl arrived this week. Thank you Dr Benito. We would highly recommend Dr Benito and will be forever grateful.
I can only say good things about the Fertility Institute. We entered with many fears and doubts and there they wrapped us up and made us the best gift in the world our little one. Thanks to all the team.
Well after 5 tortuous years of going through Social Security and two more private clinics, we were lucky to be recommended Margen Clinic. It's another world, it's like your second home, professionals at another level who have made my wife 7 months and I'm the happiest person in the world. Thank you for your encouragement and your support, we will always be in debt to you.
I am on vacation in Vigo. I have found the attention, the treatment, the facilities, the efficiency, the professionals out of 10. I recommend this hospital without hesitation.

Reproductive medicine is a field of medicine that deals with the prevention, diagnosis, and management of male and female reproductive issues. It encompasses the prevention and assessment, as well as the treatment and prognosis of a wide variety of reproductive conditions. The main goal of reproductive medicine is to improve or maintain the female and male reproductive systems. Reproductive medicine specialists particularly treat and advise on any issues impacting a person’s or a couple’s ability to conceive. They treat issues of puberty, sexual education, family planning, birth control, infertility, sexual dysfunction, and reproductive system disease, such as:
Tests and treatments that reproductive medicine may perform include:
Reproductive medicine is a multidisciplinary branch of medicine that combines physiology, endocrinology, and anatomy, as well as some aspects of biochemistry and molecular biology. Reproductive medicine also overlaps with other branches of medicines, such as gynecology, urology, obstetrics, and psychiatry.
Your length of stay in Spain depends on your specific condition and the type of test and/or treatment you underwent. In general, it is advisable that you stay in Spain for at least 1-3 weeks, although you may be able to travel home within 1 to 2 days after some diagnostic tests. During your stay, you will attend follow-up appointments.
Your specific condition, the type of test/treatment you underwent, the technique your doctor used, and your overall health determines the recovery time. For open surgery, it may take around 4 to 6 weeks until you are allowed to resume your normal activity and to go back to work. Laparoscopic surgery offers shorter recovery time, usually only 3 to 4 weeks until you can return back to your normal activity level. For non-surgical procedures, such as IVF, you should be able to go back to your normal routine immediately after the procedure.
You will be given detailed aftercare instructions that you will need to follow. In most cases, you will attend regular checkups with your reproductive medicine specialist in Spain or with your local doctor back at home.
The advancement of reproductive medicine and a better understanding of the human reproductive system has lead to an increased safety and success rate of the reproductive system’s tests and treatments. The field has allowed the development of assisted reproductive technology (ART), resulting in advances in overcoming infertility. ART is also safer than surgical procedures, minimizing the risks that surgical procedures carry.
Depending on your specific case, you may be able to see a gynecologist, urologist, obstetrician, or even oncologist as the alternative to seeing a reproductive medicine specialist. It is best, however, to talk to your general physician first as they will be able to direct you to the right specialist.
