I went to the Sport-Clinic as it was the closest one and I was refused help because the doctor had a full schedule. But he said that he would see my child the next day for PLN 300 for a consultation, but he would suggest visiting the SOR Katowice first.Money above all else ... doctor ...

As several people wrote below - if you are a patient who dreams of having a NFZ procedure after private visits - do not waste your time. Despite the description of my condition (and I have been excluded from my life for over a year), I heard that I will not be in a bad condition until my bones are damaged, and now I have to limit my activity until surgery and avoid rehabilitation if it hurts. And most importantly - I found out that Fr. Tischner wrote that suffering ennobles, so I should perhaps even start to rejoice. Today, less than a month after this unfortunate visit, I am after 3 independent consultations because I had to make sure that the only thing I can and should stay lying down for another 2 years!?! 3 well-known centers, a total of 5 specialists and one opinion everywhere - an urgent topic, for surgery on a cito. I have never seen so many eyes wide open after reading the visit information sheet. I do not feel sorry for the money spent in your clinic, I only feel sorry for myself that I was treated like someone who is trying to extort an undue surgery at the National Health Fund, because in my "super condition" nobody will quickly do anything even privately. No words. I cordially greet the Doctor and all the Staff, but something wrong ...
Doctor Karczewski performed hip replacement prosthesis implantation at my wife. I am satisfied with both the surgery and the doctor's consultation. I'll start from the clinic itself. I have no objections to the staff of nurses. They looked after me wonderfully, they were characterized by great empathy and willingness to help. The facility itself is encouraging, and the interior maintained in care is characterized by professionalism. Now, however, I will come to the specifics that caused the establishment to be rated lower, and because of the attitude of the staff member, which seems to depart from this uncontaminated vision of the establishment.I was afraid of Mr. Karczewski from the very beginning, but eventually, at the urging of my mother, I decided to undergo surgery. An unfriendly, very proud and unreachable doctor. On the first visit he opened and became interested only when he heard that I was planning this surgery privately, not with the National Health Fund. Then apparently he decided to get more involved. In general, after the first visit I quickly forgot what he was before he learned that the procedure was to be private. The problem appeared after the surgery. Despite the medications that I take and which I have clearly marked in the survey and in words, I was not prescribed anticoagulants and I ended up in night care in my city, because Sport Clinic accepts, even as an emergency, only during the day. What a disappointment. No respect for the customer !! Postponed visit twice, because the doctor finishes earlier ... and notifies me (already at the 2nd postponement of the visit ... !!!!) about this about 4 hours before the appointment a few days before, and about 3 hours before the proposed visit by the lady from the reception ... It was enough to immediately inform about the impossibility of an afternoon visit (14:40 exactly) and that there would be no problem than postponing it on the same day.

The date of the surgery was scared because a week of time 😲 (I had the surgery privately because the waiting time for NFZ is about 2/3 years) of course, for me a brilliant date.Arrival on the day of the operation, nurse very nice, preparation for the operation very quick doctor anesthesiologist explained everything about anesthesia to me very well, I can't remember the operation itself because I asked for sleeping pills for personal reasons 😉 after surgery care at the highest level, very high interest in the patient . There was no pain after the surgery, only the stitches hurt but this is normal, now a week after the surgery and dressing, several things worried me, but fantastic contact with the clinic and Dr. Seemann, everything is fine and I'm calm.In all respects, the sport clinic is a place that I can honestly recommend for knee surgery (I don't know what the situation is in other cases, I was in the room with a boy who had a spine surgery, so there is no comparison).Greetings to all clinic staff and see you at follow-up visits 😊
Great doctors, quick recovery after surgery / surgery
I was operated on in February 2019. Doctor Marek did a really holy job. The knee is perfectly fitted. However, despite the fact that the operation was privately part of the service as in the National Health Fund or worse. I would recommend. Physiotherapy worked wonders. So many years of problems with the joints in the shoulders, and thanks to the help of specialists from the clinic, the pain has passed. Exercises proved to be very effective, and in addition everything was carried out in a relaxed atmosphere.

Yes help at a great level, but if I as a patient, I pay for the visit in private! I receive information about the day and time of visit, I expect reception at this time. With a clear conscience I recommend Sport-clinic! Professionalism in every respect. I received the information on the clinic by recommendation. After many visits to specialists, a specific diagnosis was made there and a method of treatment was suggested - surgery. Everything went well thanks to which I returned to active sport. Doctor Karczewski is a master in his field. I hope that I will no longer need to use the services of this facility, but if I experience any injury, I will definitely go to Żory na Bankowa 2.

Very nice approach to the patient, beautiful modern clinic and fast patient service at the reception. I had a problem with bruised ribs and knee injury after falling. Two weeks ago, at the local Clinic, I had hip joint endoprosthesis performed by a wonderful team of doctors led by Dr. Maciej Marek. The operation was exemplary, full professionalism of the entire team. The postoperative period due to the comfortable room conditions and the unusually obliging, nice and always smiling service of ladies barracks and physiotherapists - painless. Throughout the course of treatment from registration, diagnostics, anesthetic consultation, making a diagnosis by Dr. Mark, a reliable and clear explanation of what the procedure will be done, you do not feel a typical hospital atmosphere but almost as if family from both doctors and all staff. None of us would like to be sick, but if this happens to me, I would recommend Sport Clinic with all responsibility. I wish there were more in Poland. Once again, all those who have put me on my feet with respect and heartfelt thanks!

If you can read my previous description, I tried calling the St. Lukas hospital in B. Biala without any success. After calling and promptly being answered by the staff at Klinica Sportowa, I was scheduled for a consultation with dr. Igor Karczewsky. I would like to say that to this day, after 2 consults and one difficult artro MRI that I am impressed with the attitude of the staff ( from receptionists to nurses to radiology technicians etc ) and with the friendliness and most important professionalism of the Dr. above mentioned. Truly western style medical facility.PS: staff is proficient in English

Unfortunately, I say NO to this clinic! I omit the fact that at the entrance you have to pay before the visit !!! (they are afraid that the patient will run after the visit ???) And then wait, wait and wait ... After an hour of waiting with a 7-year-old daughter, who had a leg in a cast, my husband went to the cafe at the clinic and there he found a doctor sipping a coffee and making hours of work while talking to colleagues! After paying attention to the ladies in registration, the doctor came in 15 minutes (in total, I waited 1h and 20 minutes). Unfortunately, this lack of respect for the other man - the patient, and the lack of respect for all time caused that I asked for a refund. When the recorder was turning back, the doctor came in! I was informed that the doctor came! Unfortunately, the doctor did not have to apologize for the situation ... My answer was short: "I am not interested in visiting this gentleman anymore!" I understand that everyone has a lot of work, he needs a break, but let this be taken into account in the schedule ... Doctor Maciej, Marek, let us learn to respect the other person, and life will become better!
Both my husband and I once again used the services of the clinic - and as always we met with cordial and professional service to all employees - doctors, ladies from administration, registration, nurses and rehabilitation workers, as well as auxiliary staff. I recommend a clinic when it comes to doctors And especially Dr. Igielski very nice man and very helpful ... nurses also very nice super care. Nothing bad that nobody has earlier informs that after leaving the hospital we are only accepted privately, we pay for everything a dressing change, pulling sutures, rehabilitation consultation etc. And if you like do not look it is a continuation of surgical treatment with NFZ and these are not small amounts ... you could inform the patient when he sets the date of surgery then he knows what he stands for and can prepare because if someone earns the lowest national it is hard to spend in an additional month 600 really pity A short information would be enough!

This clinic should be an example for other hospitals that you can even with the National Health Fund. Very good organization. An operation with the National Health Fund that saved my life, carried out fully professionally. On the other hand, doctor Igor Karczewski is an angel for me, he saved me, helped me and I think that he probably doesn't even know how much. If someone complains that it is expensive, let him go somewhere else, where he will not have to pay, we will see how long he will wait for help. Thank you very much for the professional surgery of my daughter's knee ligament reconstruction with Dr. I. Karczewski and the comprehensive approach to the patient in the clinic. It was worth the procedure, as the doctor recommended, to get back to full fitness. Many orthopaedists advised against it, so we chose the best clinic and recommended by friends, and the procedure was carried out as part of the NFZ!
I can confidently recommend the Sport Clinic in Żory, there are specialists who know what they are doing. I came there with damage to the knee and I already normally walk, rehabilitation at the highest level, interest in the patient and a reliable opinion about the state of health. I am like that.

I do not recommend and advise you to consider before using commercial consultations at Sport Clinic. It is surprising that for PLN 300 you are referred - as it was in my case - to a doctor with a first degree of specialization (while consultations with many professors of medicine can be cheaper!). I am also sorry to say that the appointments there are not respected - my visit was delayed by 1 and ½ hours, then the doctor left the office for about 1 hour. I was not satisfied with the fact that the diagnosis process was reduced to looking at the X-ray and making a few limb movements. I do not know why I was not given an ultrasound, which was included in the price of the visit, even though I signaled damage to the soft part of the joint in the past (but the doctor was not interested in the interview). Considering the clinic's motto: "That movement should be a pleasure - from diagnosis to rehabilitation", I was also surprised by the final conclusion that the directive restricting activity. It raises my doubts, because the doctors I had contact with earlier recommended movement and exercises to strengthen the muscles around the affected joint and protect against osteoporosis. So when I went to Sport Clinic I expected competent guidance in this direction. Overall, the visit totally disappointed me. I believe that its high price is completely inadequate compared to the mediocre level of consultation.

I recommend to everyone, as soon as you have the opportunity, only here you will be properly diagnosed, the procedure will be carried out very efficiently and rehabilitated accordingly. I had three procedures at this clinic: two for carpal tunnel syndrome (right and left hand) and ACL reconstruction. A year has passed since the leg surgery and I can do sports, I feel no pain. The wound is almost invisible. I recommend the clinic. Professional approach to patients, both doctors and the entire service. I particularly value Dr. Igor Karczewski. Professional approach to the patient, proper analysis of the disease and diagnosis, very competent, can explain the problem to the patient in a proper way, and with a sense of humor.
I do not recommend them, they are focused only on cash, then they are completely not interested in the patient, you have to pay for everything, even for removing the stitches after the surgery, paid out of your own pocket. There are plenty of people to handle and are unable to inform you that there is a delay in receiving patients. The first time I avoided surgery performed by professional rehabilitation.Two days ago I had a knee arthroscopy performed by Dr. Smolik. Everything went very smoothly. From the very beginning of the visit to the clinic care professional. The patient is the most important.On a visit to the emergency room Ladies explain exactly how it will look to stay in the clinic. From now on all the time is looked after, are given medications, IV (the stay is even stress).Following that consultation with the anesthesiologist (in my case it was Dr. Mark Zuber- great man, even with ludzkim- friendly approach to the patient. After talking and analyzing health chooses the best for the body and the psyche of the type of anesthesia) waiting for their turn.How has this moment come get on the pre-operative rooms where we are prepared (here, a lot of respect for women nurses for their professionalism, care and understanding in my case) we get where we are already anesthesia and monitored. A clinic focused on making a lot of money and quickly. Despite PLN 300 for an X-ray visit, an additional PLN 80 is paid. The ladies at the reception are sitting there as a punishment and are abusive and, most importantly, incomplete. As for the doctor himself, I have no major reservations so far. In addition, they do not provide a price list of services on the Well-known Doctor portal. A free voucher for rehabilitation consultations is also a mockery. I waited over an hour and a half to enter the office and only when they found out that it was a free consultation, someone came in front of me and I was supposed to wait, but I just heard someone coming ...... And the best thing is that the coupon is only valid on the day of the visit. The whole is complemented by a paid parking lot of PLN 5, a total mockery of the patient with such a price list

Hello, December 12, 2017. I had left hip surgery at the Sport Clinic. I have always been stressed and fearful of any visit to the doctor, let alone surgery. In this clinic I was received very warmly as the rest of the patients and preparation for the procedure was stress-free. After the surgery there were no complications or pain, and there was medical care and nurses all the time. Hospital conditions are quite comfortable, which allows you to calm down and control how someone has operational fear. The operation was conducted by dr. Igor Karczewski, whom I would like to thank for his professionalism, warm approach and patience to me. His advice after surgery during follow-up visits allowed for faster mobility.Now I feel comfortable and recommend to all Sport Clinic in Żory.Yours faithfully, Jarek from Gliwice
The fiancé called for shoulder arthroscopy. Since we do not live in Poland, he wanted to learn as much as possible, because we are going to Poland to carry out this surgery. The price is 8000 PLN and the lady who answered the phone did not deign to check how the clinic is open on the chosen date. Drama. We wanted to go to a good clinic (apparently) at a high level, but at the outset we were ugly floated by phrases like "Please, sir, I'm not from such information, I don't know, please call there and there ...". I am sorry to say that we have to go to another clinic.
I am a man who is lucky to be injured, but I am even more fortunate for great doctors. Dr. Śmigiel has already operated on my spine 4 times, Dr. Smolik has healed my knees and Dr. Dec has broken my lower leg. If you add to this that I had the pleasure to meet Dr Chabierska and Dr Zuber, it should be considered that the staff of Sport-Clinic in a sense worked out. Best regards, and thank you! Private clinic. All 100 percent paid very expensive. "NFZ" signs are only to download the client. The simplest visit 260 - 300 PLN or 10% of the average wage in this sick country and to heal you need several visits. Despite such high rates, they charge extra for parking! Doctors ok but not crazy, young ladies from registration often "not in a sauce". If something happens on weekends, they are sent to the hospital on duty. The most important thing is for the patient to pay for the visit immediately after saying "good morning" and then wait and wait. ......Very expensive clinic with medium quality services and not very polite ladies from registration.
My impressions Not so good ... If you go there, for example, for a concurrence with the National Health Fund, do not think that you will be treated well. My conclusions are that my spent almost PLN 300 (for medical advice) will no longer pay, I was treated literally as a rag by the staff and when I asked about the date of the procedure, I was told the date for August. I could not wait so long for the date, so I told the lady I talked to, but the lady laughed and told me that I had to accept the reality of adult life. If I were to comment on the staff of this center I would say "Learn manners".
Very professional approach to the patient and great doctors. Also rehabilitation at an excellent level. Only PLN 250 for one visit to an orthopedic surgeon ...
Avoid! Absolute mess, lack of minimal professionalism and interest in the patient, focus on maximum draining of money - PLN 275 visit, parking in front of the clinic paid for patients. An unfriendly place for patients. I didn't even hear sorry for their blatant error. Avoid!Avoid! Unprofessional only profit oriented expensive place. Avoid!
Good and nice service.
Care in the Clinic is perfect. Hassle-free treatment. I had a herniated disc. After two days I was at home. I would love to see care and professionalism in every clinic, just like it is in SPORT-CLINIC.
