Their accident and emergency (A&E) department is not the best place to take children. Took my infant daughter for a respiratory infection and was referred to a paediatrician as there was none available on site. I had also taken my son there for a mosquito bite which lead to swelling and redness on the skin near his eyes the next day. Having worked in healthcare, I was concerned about the possibility of cellulitis and whether he needed antibiotics. I brought up my concern to the emergency room physician. He stated it did “not look red enough” to be cellulitis and to apply a steroid cream to the site. I asked if he needed oral antibiotics, he said “no.” Well, the next day, the swelling was even worse. I took him to KKH and he was diagnosed with periorbital cellulitis! We had to follow up with an ophthalmologist to make sure the infection did not progress to his eyes. After a course of antibiotics, the swelling and redness has thankfully resolved.

Not able to book a maternity tour due to the restriction of COVID 19. Called the hotline, the person asked why is there a need to do the tour... I replied, at least I need to know where to go when I’m on labour. She replied just walk through the main door... What customer service is this, I had only been to Blk A for my gyne appointment, don’t even know where is the main entrance! Understand many hospital had make to a point to let their patients do the tour first and rejected those that are not booked with them. Seem like mount a is not doing anything to help their patient. This round, had not choice but to give birth there... I swear I’m not going to that hospital after this birth!

Had eye surgery done yesterday at Mount E Orchard. After operation rested in day surgery ward. Very kind and helpful nurses. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from one of the nurses the next day asking me whether I had indeed seen the eye specialist that morning and whether I was alright and recovering and to call them if there were any problems. I've always been embarrassed to wear sleeveless tops due to my flabby arms. I decided to finally try out lipo on my arms, since I hear it works well for stubborn residual fats. I initiallty consulted here more than 1 year ago and recently mustered the courage to do lipo. My problem was love handles & stubborn abdomen bulge. Sore and unable to go to the gym but loving my new body! Can't wait to see my better defined abs!thanks dr shens and his all-female team for the great services (I requested for them to take a picture of the fat removed and they did - as you can see) and great skills (dr's technique is so precise I didn't feel any pain after, just soreness). I was told that lippo is a common procedure even for men here and they do several cases a week. So if you do it here, you will sure be in good hands..

Very pleased with my dst double eyelid done by Dr Shens.This is a photo of my eyes 3 months plus post surgery and they have healed up so nicely and naturally!I will also like to commend his group of staff who have been so patient with me when I was freaking out about the uneven height 2 weeks after the surgery. The unevenness was only temporary due to some swelling and went down quickly after that. Since then, they have been consistently following up with me and checking on my needs. Appreciate that very much :)

If you are used to the kind of service at Mt E, then this place would be a great disappointment. To begin, service at registration feels very transactional, staff were not very friendly/welcoming. There were not butler who would direct you to the ward from the level 2 service desk. Had to do a second admission paperwork once we reach the level 10 inpatient wards. Staff at this registration was also not smiling/welcoming. Room lacked basic things like coffee and tea. Nurses are ok but not the most attentive. They forgot about our lunch and only served 1.5h later (after we asked). 2 stars for the relatively new facilities and pleasant environment (view from the ward is great).

What you need to know about Breast Implants in Singapore
Breast Implants is considered a plastic / cosmetic surgery procedure that requires coordination between a plastic surgeon, anesthetist and other surgical medical staff. This type of Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery procedure / treatment can be considered reasonably expensive, especially given the skill set, experience, training and equipment used by the specialists involved. For Breast Implants, photos are required for the specialist to review prior to treatment.

As with all plastic surgeries, recovery varies from person to person and this is no different for Breast Implants, where the immediate recovery post-op can take a few days before you're moving around again. You should anticipate an extended period of rest immediately following your surgery, during which time you should avoid any heavy lifting and strenuous exercising. After a week or so, you can expect to return to light activities, gradually breaking yourself in over the new few weeks and months. The plastic surgeon will provide you with a detailed post-operative aftercare plan, which should be closely followed. This may include exercises and stretches, a diet plan and advice on how to treat the wounds.

You will be required to stay in Singapore for around 10-14 days post-op. During this time you'll be required to visit the surgeon for a post-op checkup and have stitches removed. Once given the all clear, you'll be able to travel home, it's very rare for travel arrangements needing to be changed as the success rate for Breast Implants is very high. This is mostly down to the more recent advances in medical technologies and surgical techniques, coupled with the extended experience of the plastic surgeons. However, the risk of complications is always there and these may include infection of the wound, bleeding, numbness and swelling around the wound and damaged scar tissue. To reduce the likelihood of such complications, all patients need to do is rest immediately after surgery and adhere to the surgeon's aftercare and recovery advice.
