Andrzej Budzyński is working on the 2nd Department of Surgery of Jagiellonian University, commonly called "Red Surgery" since 1990, currently since 2013 as a Head of the Department. Since the introduction of laparoscopic technique in the Department in 1992 he became a member of the team led by Prof. Andrzej Bobrzyński focused on the development of this field of surgery. After the training at the Department since 1995 he began to perform independently routine procedures such as cholecystectomy, hernia surgery, and emergency cases. Then, after completing numerous courses and internships in Strasbourg'u, Tubingen, Elancourt, Barcelona, Kaunas, Heidelberg improving his skills in the use of laparoscopic technique especially during advanced operations he began in 1998 to perform these procedures in the Department. Initially, these were mainly splenectomies, antireflux procedures and cardiomiotomies. In 2004 he performed the first in southern Poland laparoscopic adrenalectomy. In 2009, after training at the Department of Surgery WIM and the University of Kaunas he began performing laparoscopic bariatric procedures. Encouraging results have contributed to the establishing of the first in Krakow (and in the southern Poland) center of bariatric and metabolic surgery. In November 2011 oncological procedures were added to a spectrum of advanced laparoscopic operations including resection of cancer of the colon, stomach (including first in Poland laparoscopic D2 gastrectomy - 2011), resection of the pancreas (including first in Poland totally laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy - 2013) and liver (including first in Poland right hemihepatectomy – 2014)

I have had the most wonderful experience and treatment with KCM and all it’s employees. I had Abdominoplasty with Lipo and felt in the safest hands from my first contact on Facebook - Meg to my surgeon Dr Marta and all her nurses and liaisons. I would highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to return for more treatment, even if offered the chance to have it done in England I would still return to KCM.

I believe i had much better care at KCM than i would have ever got in the UK. The prices are so affordable and the aftercare has been fantastic! I highly recommend this hospital to anyone who is looking for medical treatment.

KCM clinic is absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend. My mother underwent a total hip replacement, just under 4 weeks ago. Mum is in her late 70s, and her surgery, recovery and progress has been outstanding. The clinic, staff, coordinator and surgeon were fabulous. My mum is walking pain free and aid free. Her scar is hardly visible and her life has been restored. Ewelina, the coordinator, is an angel. From initial online consultation through to airport pickup, hospitalisation at the spotless clinic, through to leaving post surgery, both mum and I were delighted. Kindness, cleanliness, willingness totally superb. If any of our family ever require surgery in the future, we will return to KCM. Thank you guys from mum and me. Joy and Carolyn.

Fantastic Service from start to finish I approached KCM to get a gastric sleeve. I had lots of questions for and Philip & Ewelina and they found the answers promptly without any language barrier. Ewelina was very supportive throughout the entire procedure, before and after and was constantly in contact and observing to ensure I was confortable . They really put my mind at ease, gave me all the information I needed and arranged everything for me. When I arrived in Poland I didn't have to worry about a thing - I was very well cared for, even collected from the hotel and dropped off to the Clinic. This helped as I was anxious about the whole procedure and I felt that it was a weight off my mind not having to worry about logistics. Dr Kowalski who operated, visited me before the procedure and was further assessed before and after my operation. I must say also that the pre operation tests that I was given before the operation was outstanding. The overall gastric Sleeve procedure went great and I am looking forward to my weight loss success here back in the UK.

I was operated from the Clinic on a Spine condition in July 2017, however, I never improved from the pain I was having. My condition degenerated and became worst in September and had to be operated again elsewhere. I took this decision because I was not getting any help at all from KCM administrators. My request never attended to promptly yet I was in pain. The money I paid to be operated at KCM was a total loss. I think this was not fair at all on the part of KCM Management. I regretted having preferred them in my first treatment plan. Walter Okello.

07 December 2017
POOR COMMUNICATION AND VERY LONG WAITING TIMES. Monday 23rd arrived at 9am as requested but did not leave till gone 6pm with only doing 3 tests X-ray, blood tests, cardio tests and a consultation with the head of the clinic which her name goes by Dr Parshley who is a cardiologist which has nothing to do with my case but apparently is the process for getting seen in this clinic. The coordinator that was assigned to me was apparently the manager who started this job 3days prior so you think you give the guy a chance but had no sense of direction, poor communication between myself and was very quick to judge the company of all the wrongs and not knowing anything about me until 5mins after I arrived that morning which is one not professional and two not my problem as am a paying patient there for a reason. I am not coming to a country where I do not know how to speak the language and remove a organ without feeling sure and 100% certain. Which was the two things I felt least about. Like I previously stated had the test done as a pre assessment but the coordinator Maciek did not follow up on or wait/spend anytime with me the patient knowing I am from the UK and do not know any Polish so was already nervous but felt stressed out on top of that with the not knowing more so. Tuesday was a much more positive day as had another coordinator name Natalie who spent time, with good communication and told me exactly what was happening throughout the day and even helped filling the papers out which sounds so simple but when you don't understand the language there is so much Google translator can do. Friday 27th October 7am arrived the clinic and awaiting for a laparoscopic cholecystectomy, 9am asked Maciek the coordinator what was going on to be told the surgeon was not even in the hospital, surgeon arrived and finally got spoken to at 11:15am, 4hours later by the surgeon name Dr Kowalski who's english speaking was great and explained everything properly who also stated in around 30mins i would be going into the theatre room and would be first patient to be operated once consent paperwork had been signed. So after some more waiting around 2:30pm i decided to pull out and cancel everything as you can understand it's the not knowing that gets the better of you. To only find out all the waiting around was to translate the papers in English that I had already signed for at 11ish once again poor communication. I do not need to worry about paperwork or payments the last thing before going under the knife as already nervous but do not need to be anxious or stress as well as the not knowing and no one speaking to you or telling you what was going on. I can only recommend that you know exactly what is going on or when. With exact timeframes and non speaking Polish patients have your coordinator with you as your paying for this service so they should be with you every step of the way with minimal if not no waiting time at all.

21 August 2017
I had Gastric Sleeve surgery on the 8th of July, 2017. From being met at the airport to the return trip, everything was superb! Marion, my driver was so sweet! He took us to see a village with three castles! Martin, a member of staff who was in charge of seeing that patients get where they are supposed to be and SO much more, was welcoming, friendly and did everything and more to make sure I was taken care of. Martyna was very kind and couldn't do enough to make everything more than okay for me. Their English is excellent which was very helpful. The nurses were lovely, friendly and helpful, too. The cardiologist was brilliant. An intelligent, beautiful lady that exuded intelligence and kindness. She was always there if needed. The surgeon was informative and put me at ease. He checked on me many times after the surgery. Philip is on the admin side of the clinic and answered all of my emails pre- and post-op so quickly and came and introduced himself to us before we left hospital. I can't fault this clinic. I was told aftercare is not limited to three or five years, they are available to us as long as we need them. I suppose the one thing I might suggest is go in cooler weather, July was HOT and no air conditioning!!

I had gastric sleeve surgery at KCM Clinic, Poland. I cannot fault this clinic from beginning to the end of my stay at KCM .The staff from drivers, admin, doctors, surgeon, everyone was just second to none. Questions were answered, fears understood, I had wonderful care and attention, we even shared great humour. The Clinic is very clean. They took all the hard work out of arrangements that needed to be made. I was picked up from the airport by my own personal driver, taken to the clinic, was immediately taken for multiple diagnostic tests, no stone unturned. I was informed what time my surgery would be, the surgeon came round to see me daily and answered any questions I might have had. All in all I can't praise this clinic highly enough, I'm so glad I chose KCM for my surgery, I will certainly be recommending it just as I have here. 11 out of 10!! If you are thinking of having bariatric surgery here, I say GO FOR IT! Really reasonable prices into the bargain!

Staff are super helpful, attentative and kind - they go above and beyond. Very clean and inviting atmosphere.
