I understand why this hospital is considered the best in Thailand. Traveled all the way from Australia to get my treatment here after I heard good things about it. Superb staff, very friendly, attentive, and helpful. Many of the staff can speak English, so communication is not a problem. I asked many questions and told them my concerns, and they answered patiently and put me at ease. Had to stay for several days after my treatment. The room was super clean, well-designed, and definitely made me feel comfortable. The nurses checked on me every hour or so, and the food was surprisingly great. Though having to stay in a hospital is never a good experience, I would say my time in Bumrungrad was a pleasant one. A bit pricey when compared to other hospitals around the area, but with the quality service and high-level care offered, it was all worth it.
I have used the Bumrungrad hospital for twenty years, and have been generally pleased, but recently I had a work medical there and didn’t realise that they had entered a wrong end date, which will prevent me from working until this is resolved. I have asked for a replacement, through endless “online chats” and emails, and have now been told, that I will be charged 3,000 plus baht, to send me out a new and accurate certificate. Nearly the cost of the original medical. As the mistake was made by the Bumrungrad, at least they could do would be to rectify their mistake at no expense to myself, but clearly that is not their approach, further more I am expected to re validate my identity, using several prescribed documents, prior to any mailing. It would be nice to be treated in an honourable way, and with a modicum of respect, but I don’t hold out much hope!! 01/09/20, just an update on this story, the Bumrungrad have now rectified the problem and I have received a new OG certificate with the correct date, so a thank to all involved in finally resolving this for me.
Nurses don't speak polite ALWAYS i hope they have service training. When i make appointment, nurse called me to confirm the appointment. I asked the another time slot and she keeps repeating she has another patient in that time which she doesn't listened to me well, she says what she want to say. The way of the nurse was not so polite always.. When i meet nurses at hospital, i feel not happy and my husband also feels same. I strongly recommend to go to Samitivej hospital they give nice service.I paid for vaccination package, i called the nurse to check how many vaccination i have left within package, she checked and said i need to bring my book and checked with doctor. Sigh... I dont know why she cant check with the system and i have to visit hospital for this small question. I think its language problem or service issue...
Great doctor and service here. Overall is great. EXCEPT only one thing if you use health insurance. Have a chance of IPD case, took hours for check out and prepare docs to insurance company. So bad thing was when chasing to IPD Cashier 6th-7th fl. ,they said delay from insurance company while check directly to insurance and found out that claim docs just sent minutes ago.So be patience with IPD check out process.
