The Ortopedicum was modelled on the
most successful clinics in Western Europe
and North America. It offers highly
specialised arthroplasty and orthopaedic
surgery as well as physiotherapy and
rehabilitation. Although we specialise
in surgery, we try to avoid operating if
at all possible. As long as a well-founded
diagnosis suggests that it is an option,
non-invasive conservative treatment and
fitness training are always our preferred
path. The aim is pain-free mobility, and
we will provide our patients with the
care and support they need to achieve it
in their own individual way.
The benefit of joint replacement is
basically the same for older and younger
patients. They are relieved from the pain
they have suffered from a damaged joint
and regain mobility. Although it is not
advised to indulge in extreme activities,
one can practise many sports like swimming,
biking, trekking or golf with an
artificial joint. And everything else that
makes up a healthy, normal and active
life. The quality of life of our patients is
always our primary objective.
